STEAK EN FRITES-- Amazing! Best steak I had so far as compared to other pubs I've been. A bit small but very tender. Chips were cooked perfectly and the side salad is great. Just 4 stars because the toilets need a lot of cleaning. Overwhelming smell of urine as you walk in. Puts off a lot of customers especially if they're sat by the tables near the toilets. PLEASE do something about this. Will definitely come back for food and drinks again 😊

I was here a little while ago to eat. i ordered a classic burger (awful dry burger without salt. 12.95 for a measly burger and 20 counted fries. no coleslaw or salads. terrible i know they are looking for kitchen assistants i think they should resell from head chef to full menu ...this my job and I thinkso I have all of experience to make this complain.

Deceptively spacious inside, full of antique furniture and comes with a rooftop bar for all this nice weather. Great venue for a private party and the buffet food is top class too. Was well looked after by the staff during the evening

Hesitant to write this review because I’d like to keep it as Bristol’s best kept secret. But it’s only fair to say that the atmosphere is unmatched, it’s parallel to the feeling of a rooftop bar (the terrace is 4 foot of the ground, and if you know Bristol, this is unremarkable), but best of all, the staff are next to none. Not only are you welcomed with the best vibes upon entering, you are greeted with such kindness and warmth. My best friend and I have lived here for 5 years and we thought of no better place than here to host our leaving drinks and to no surprise, the lovely family who run it have been the most accommodating, human, and the most enthusiastic response to our 40+ booking that we couldn’t recommend it. enough. A special shout out to Kavya and Sri and co, there’s a reason we’re choosing here for our final send off. From the outside table service (which is unheard of for Bristol) to their immaculate energy - we really will miss you, and this place deserves to be shouted from the rooftops (the Kings Arms rooftops...

Went here for a Christmas Carvery booked with 30 people, most of who were vegetarian/vegan (we told them the numbers in advance). They provided several meat plates and only a handful of veggie/vegan plates. There was a single bowl of potatoes, a handful of carrots and Brussels, 1 bowl of falafel and some Yorkshire puddings with cauliflower cheese (which some people were told were vegan when they weren’t!). Honestly most the people left hungry after we spent about Ā£400 for this booking. On top of this on my table alone there were 4 mistakes with drinks (overcharged, wrong drink, given non alcoholic when asked for alcoholic & sour lager). We complained and they said ā€œthere should be enough thereā€ and walked off. Honestly a huge waste of money and ruined...

Rudest pub I have ever been too!

Me and my friend came in for a drink on the terrace mid afternoon.

We went to put our jackets down and then I saw a sign for the bathroom and thought we would use it first... a MAN THAT WORKS THERE followed us, two 20 something year old women, to the bathroom and yell at us, whilst we was using the facilities. To say I felt venerable would be an understatement.

Safe to say I didnt make it to the terrace nor felt comfortable to have a drink there.

We took a deep breath and left.

I wanted to complain to the manager but in all honesty I didnt know who said it to me as I didnt see there face so I was very scared to say anything in case it was to...
