I originally came by Elin as a friend of mine was wearing a piece of jewellery Elin had made and I was really struck by how beautiful and unique it was. So asked Elin to commission a ring for my 40th birthday. Right from the start, Elin was fantastic: very responsive on message, helpful in designing and bringing her own ideas of what might work, but also keen to find out about what jewellery I wear already, how a new ring would compliment what I already wear etc. She has great knowledge of the stones I wanted to use and used this to make suggestions on what would work well. Elin kept me updated on how she was getting on throughout the process, sending pictures etc., and communicated really well. UNDERSTATED ELEGANCE

I bought my first piece of jewellery from Elin Horgan around 8 years ago and have been adding to my collection of her work ever since. Many of her pieces I buy for friends but end up keeping for myself. Once seen, they are hard to let go of.

I have commissioned 2 pieces from Elin and about to embark on my third. This has included Elin working with a design idea worked up by my teenage niece for her mum - such a personal and unique design. Elin perfectly transferred the rough design into a thing of wonder and beauty. Her ability to understand exactly what you are looking for surpasses expectations. The detail and the subtlety in her work are what makes it unique.

Her collections are ever changing and ever intriguing. The shapes and texturing in her work always prompt compliments. Her work is so wearable and wonderful for completing an outfit.

My sisters and I bought our mum tickets for one of Elin's jewellery-making workshops. We were a bit nervous beforehand as we’d never done anything like this before, but Elin made everyone feel at ease, and comfortable with trying something new. She provided guidance without being didactic, and offered encouragement to everyone in a way that was genuine, thoughtful, and warm, which made us feel capable even as complete beginners. I managed to break my carving (twice), and both times Elin was deft and reassuring. Having received my finished ring, I am honestly chuffed. It’s hard to describe the feeling of knowing I made this (with expert guidance, of course). Most importantly, my mum absolutely loves her ring. It looks utterly brilliant on her, and this, along with the knowledge and pride that she made it herself, is something she can keep forever.
