I'm so happy we tried here on a whim last night, after the other place we were driving to eat at was closed. Finally - good Turkish food in Bristol! I'd already pretty much given up hope on the idea that there was anywhere to be found in Bristol that would come anywhere near close to being like the food I used to love and have all around when I lived in Green Lanes in London ...but this place is incredible! All the flavours of our meal were really delicious and the portion sizes were good, although maybe a bit less meat than I was expecting for the price initially, but to be honest the rest of the parts mades up for this by being generous and tasting so good. I was nicely full from what I did get in the end. I also got a baklava for desert too, since I wanted to try their cakes, and was not disappointed with this either. Really well made and nice flavour and texture to it . Thanks for our meal and for friendly service too. You've got some very happy...
Read moreI had previously left a good review of Ezo, but sadly I need to change it. This was our first time getting a takeaway from Ezo since their refit. Most things we had were tasty, but the portions were somewhat stingy. The bread was dry and cold and the rest of the food was tepid.
The Lamb Guvech was a tasty casserole which apparently comes with rice, but we weren't given any. It would have been nicer if we had the rice, and had it been hot.
The Ezo Charcoal Grill was similarly priced at £11 and again, was tasty but stingy.
We also shared a portion of Yogurtly Patlican which was £3.95 and a portion of bread (which came free with one of the other items). The Yogurtly Patlican is aubergines in yoghurt and was very nice. The bread was really poor though.
The shobiyet (filo pastry in syrup) was £3.80 and perfectly pleasant.
At £29 the meal really didn't feel good value, and we won't go there again. Lona is a bit further up Gloucester Road and is much...
Read moreMy favourite shisha place in Bristol. My favourite flavours are Dragon Breeze and Cloud Lime, Paan, Guawa and Peach. Great food selection, always come out pretty quickly. All the ingredients are fresh and really delicious. The prices are good and good selection of food/drinks/shisha/deserts. My favourite desert is from baclava section, I love the pistachio baclava and walnut baclava is amazing too. Drinks you can have a nice Turkish tea or coffee, but if you want something stronger you have beer (love Efes beer), wine, cocktails. I have fraud mixed grill, falafel salad, burek, halloumi. The staff is nice and helpful and they are great remembering their loyal clients. Highly...
