Shaun of the cob was priced at £35 in the shop display, went to counter charged £40 by the young assistant, I pointed out it was £35 in display Cabinet she quickly said that I was wrong so I went back over and checked. It was indeed £35 so I said under the consumer act you have to sell it to me at £35 to which the other assistant muttered “jeez we are a charity” and hastily opened the cabinet and rectified the price to £40, to which I said this is the law you have to sell it to me for £35 as I understand it . I should’ve said as you’re a charity I take it you’re working for nothing? but I decided not to buy and leave not to be going back as it’s not exactly cheap at £40 Very disappointed at the poor customer service and will not be purchasing any more Gromits which has 12 in my collection, Would like to hear what the management think of my experience and staff who don’t know correct procedure and trading standards which is to sell it at that price and honour the transaction and then, rectify the...
Read moreNot the same fun shop after the recent downsize. They no longer have any where near as many items to buy and prices seem to have gone up too. Part of the fun was taking the kids to see the giant manikins and all the Wallace and Gromit related models.
My son loved the space rocket you could sit in, all of this is now gone replaced by white walls. There is no green screen photo area either. The shop has lost its charm and character its just a corner shop selling a few bits of merchandise. A good selection of collectibles here plus some toys, puzzles and other souviners of Aardman, Shaun the sheep and Wallace and front, plus Moprh! They have an activity area the back of the shop for old and young! They have a seating area where they show Aardman films, and tables with modelling clay and colouring in sheets with pencils.
