Bristol’s best vegan food! Herbivore Vegan Deli @Wapping Wharf Bristol is run by the loveliest mother / daughter duo. As well as a fab selection of deli products including my favourite Za’tar, jarred aubergine and chilli oils, a fridge packed with vegan cheeses… They also do fab lunches! Herbivore make most deli items in house - you can tell how much love and care goes into everything from their fresh, crunchy salads to decadent vegan treats. I always get a sourdough toastie - I’m a big fan of the cheese one but the Reuben and their other specials look tasty šŸ˜‹ and a big portion their seasonal salads. They make lots of delicious salads with flavour combos I don’t make at home šŸ˜ which I loveee. Their toasties start from Ā£6 and small salads from Ā£3 and sweat treats start from Ā£2.50. Make sure to pop in and show them some love ā¤ļø #vegan #plantbased #WappingWharf

So you might think that Wapping Warf is pretty cool, with it's nice clean bars serving delicious high-grade food and coffee from all over the world, You might sit down with a nice glass of cola, a slice of lemon over slowly melting ice and think. Yeah. I'm living my best life... Who are you to judge?! But tell me this... were you here back in the day? before the fancy food places, health food stores and the museum, before "Banksy" made you want to come here in the first place?

What about back even before the dirt and the grime, before the spray cans of Dr Dog and the B Boys of the 1980's, sprayed the crumbling buttresses of the old Jail house...(Now posh flats)

Back before the delicious chip butties of The Brunell Buttery, or even the big old SSGB herself came home?

What about before then, when Avonmouth grew out of nothing and moved all the cargo work down river?

Or even further still before the cranes popped up like mushrooms and the floating harbour took away our iconic tide?

What about before they covered up that river In the centre of town, before the castle rose and fell and even before the real motorless Mathew made her way out of port?

What about before the Roman merchants and soldiers marched across the rickety wooden bridge from which our city gets it name?

What about back in the time of giants, when the wide eyed watchers of the winter sky, felt these same waters flow through their fingertips, did you feel the flow of life itself, come directly from their eyes and mouths and follicles past virginous woodlands filled with bear and wolf and wolverine. Back when ancient eyes opened, waking up for the first time to their nakedness, and the horrible otherness that separates us from nature... When knotted hands knapped out stone tools and ground rough grass seeds down to make even rougher flatbreads, when flint speartips pierced the hides of elk, rabbit and duck. When scraps of Slow roasted meat held over open fires made meals the likes of which you can only dream of. Meals that were truly original, truly innovative and fresh. A fusion of humanity and the beast inside. This was true Food. Food that could only be locally sourced, organic, and traded fairly (Or stolen in bloody conflict) Yeah, man, forget your fancy, (but let's face it really nice) craft beer places and Japanese sushi shacks in old shipping containers... That's when this place was really hot. When it was still and cold and green with growth and oxygen and promise.

You gosh darn hipster kids have no idea what you...

Nice but so crowdy. I guess that's not a very bad thing, just shows how popular it is, but it drives me crazy when people just walk wherever, you can't reach parking spot without risking to drive over a toddler on his scooter or whatever. But in general really nice side of city. Prob my favorite. Best food spots, quite few coffee shops and all serve amazing coffee, good spot to meet friends and have a walk around harbour - makes 5k of your...

Strange to review a carpark but this is a really good one, it's small and probably a nightmare on the weekend, but if you have kids who like boats or trains it's worth giving it a shot. You enter/exit across train tracks and they have some historical rolling stock close by, plus it's right in the water. Great for access to M...
