Being from Ely this is my local park. Years and years ago you used to be able play golf,bowls and tennis over here but alas not anymore. We lost our mam to cancer a few weeks ago and she used to walk her dog here a cpl of times a week. I truly believe that people should do a bit of research, there is a reason it's called "Ely racecourse" I couldn't believe the stuff I found out about it. We used to ride our bikes upto top of the woods and be there all day. I miss those times,mam and the adventures we had up there. Read moreUpdate: whoever in Cardiff council decided to hold a park run and more than a dozen junior football matches on a Saturday morning clearly doesn't use the park. The whole area becomes gridlocked for hours. Impossible to get near the park and impossible to leave by car.
A great park that is absolutely massive and has playing space for all. There are dozens of football pitches and its a hive of activity on the weekends with matches galore. The only issue is the carnage when the matches are over as the car park becomes a free for all. Trying to then get out onto Cowbridge Road at the traffic...
Read moreTrelai Park is a great local park with plenty of space to run which is my normal reason for visiting. There's also a great Parkrun hosted here every week.
It's also a great place to bring the kids and they love to ride along the main path through the park. There is also a playground. It doesn't have a great amount of equipment but the kids always really enjoy it whenever we visit.
There is also a large car park and so it is usually easy to park except when there are lots of football or rugby...
