Came here due to the glowing reviews and had high expectations (usually visit Aspire)âŚsadly it was a bit of a let down. Young guy in front desk was nice enough but zero engagement and didnât offer any info on the lounge at all. I was expecting due to the great comments about service a bit more but sadly nothing. Was left to just figure it out myself.
The food was tasty but I went up 5 times and 3 out of 5 the food was empty. A few were commenting how the replenishment was very slow (and the lounge wasnât busy). Deserts are lacking - I gave up in the end looking for something sweet. The food when I did manage to get some was indeed tasty and hot. I loved the fact they had sparkling wine on tap and was very nice. The staff inside were friendly enough.
WiFi was poor. The info on the card wasnât correct as staff said to just connect to airport wifi as thereâs wasnât working. This was a big let down as the normal airport wifi is very poor and remained so in the lounge. Another big let down was lack of lounge toilet meaning you have to leave your stuff unattended to visit the toilet or drag it out with you which is even worse.
So overall - a bit meh. Perhaps I was just unlucky. If the wifi is improved and the food service improved and perhaps more chat on front desk then yes it would be great. For now though I shall...
Read moreVisited this morning before our early morning flight for the first time but wish we had just used one of the other lounges. Itâs a pleasant space and there were plenty of seats. Good drink selection compared to some other lounges. Food was very standard and basic for lower end lounges and could definitely be better eg cold tasteless scrambled egg, frozen fruits etc. The service from the front desk let it down the most with an older blonde lady speaking to my partner and I like we were idiots, whilst another gentleman sat there and didnât acknowledge us - some basic customer service training is badly needed. It was a very odd interaction as I asked for two people immediately upon entry, then what followed was some huffing and puffing and a patronising explanation of how lounges work and how I must say 1+1 and not two people (nonsensical) as if itâs the first time Iâve ever been to a lounge or Iâm not welcome. Dreadful service from such a rude and condescending lady who should not be in a customer facing role - never had anything like it in years of using lounges across the...
Read moreI don't usually write reviews but the service definitely required complimenting! I actually asked for these staff names as they deserve being commended. Greeted by a lovely friendly man called Pedro who made my family feel very welcome and added great humour along the way! Then another friendly man appeared called Mark who kindly showed us to some seats. We were next to a group of 8 girls who were quite loud but not doing any harm but Mark was great in asking them in a jovial funny way to keep it down due to others customers. They reacted with great humour! Clearly Pedro and Mark are a great double act and also special shout out to the catering staff, constantly clearing and finally to the bar lady who single handedly served everyone, amazing but unfair on her. I would return though the lighting is far too bright, it feels too much like a cafeteria. Subdued lighting would give it a far more classy BA lounge feel. It was also save on electricity, please rethink the lighting, atmosphere is everything and this place fails on ambience. Thank goodness for...
