Attended this Casino yesterday with my dad and sisters. My dad had booked an experience package with them, they didn’t seem to know about the booking when we arrived. We had a 30min class of how to gamble as me and my sisters had never gambled or been in a Casino before. We were then left to our own devices to go round the tables. We had a dinner package included, the menu was a choice of 2 for starters, soup or garlic mushrooms on ciabatta, 2 options for the main, steak pie or a vegan dish, and 1 option for pudding, vegan ice cream. The food was good but the ice cream was disgusting! I have vegan ice cream often as I’m dairy intolerant and this was the absolute worst! Then the ‘show’ came on which was a Michael Buble tribute. Ok singer but it was more of a laugh than a show! The building is from the 30’s and I don’t think anything has been updated or decorated since. It’s very dated and could do with a little modernising. The ladies toilets were passable but they really could do with some attention. The night was good fun but I did expect it to be a little more professional and organised for a major...
Read moreCasino just like any other casino...BUT! 5 stars for excellence, professionalism, intelligence, class, style, great sense of humour and one of the cutest laughs I've ever heard goes to the cute short girl staff member working on the casino floor as (I'm assuming) super visor/ team lider / manager. She is definitely the most efficient and essential person for this establishment. Not only she helps guests around with any queries they might have, she also helps in all other departments if necessary. Whether it's behind the bar, on the floor or even helping security to recognise and identify customers under the influence of drugs in case they missed it at the entrance ( this girl just couldn't tame and control her jaw movements) she also provides useful informations and tips to her colleagues but most importantly she brings soo many positive vibes to the workplace resulting in smiles...
Read moreThe Maybury Casino is housed in a beautiful Art Deco building that invokes images of 30s America and Aviation cocktails, unfortunately the inside is starting to look a bit weathered. Doors need a desperate lick of paint and some of the tables in the bar area could do with being replaced.
The gaming floor has all the standard UK games with 21+3 bonuses on Blackjack and 6 card bonuses on Three Card.
Staff are friendly, drinks choice is mediocre and food is averagely priced although nothing special.
Due to its location several miles out of town, this casino tends to be quieter than the in town casinos and as a result doesn't attract the post club gambler...
