Baguette Express — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

I've TRIED to order from here twice. I say tried because there is absolutely no que system, no sign to say order here. I've walked away twice because all the staff just look at you. If you can see me standing at the counter, I obviously would like to buy something. I asked today about the que system and the staff were arguing with me because I was standing in the wrong place, they weren't trying to help me at all and had attitude from the get go. The lady in front of me asked to change her order and she was told no. If we are paying, why can we not change our order?? The food looked really good but honestly the staff have really terrible people skills, leaning on counter tops drinking coffee. I'm not sure if this is a franchise but if you want to make any money, you really should rethink your attitude. There are other places in the Gyle to eat. Don’t bother going here. I normally love this place but recently I’ve been so disappointed. The standards have gone so downhill. I placed an order via Deliveroo for 3 paninis all with different fillings. All of my items were messed up missing certain things I had requested. They were poorly made and messy and just not the usual high standard I used to receive from here. When I called the branch, the lady on the phone had a terrible attitude - AWFUL customer service. Baguette express need to reconsider the staff they keep at this branch as they are all so rude. The lady didn’t even hear me out she just kept saying there’s nothing she can do about my WRONG order. Absolutely appalling, first you mess up and order and then you don’t offer to make it right??!! The staff at this branch are going to run this place into the ground. Thankfully Deliveroo fixed their silly mistakes by offering a refund but I would rather have my food as ordered and paid for than have free poorly made...

I'm not even sure were to start, the amount of times I've tried to order from here and there is no clear queue system. It seems chaotic, I can handle this.

What I can't handle is seeing the staff applying make-up near were the food is being prepared. I had the right mind on reporting this to environmental health. Ive also seen staff members who are women, some look like teenagers changing in the view of the public, this is weird, there is public toilets they can use.

The shop is supposed to open at 8am yet when I've been there at 8:10-8:30 in the morning there is no one there to serve. I'm told I need to take of the delivery. If that's the case then more staff needs to be on in the morning as this becomes...
