Portal Mini Golf — Local services in City of Edinburgh

Visited here on Sunday past. We booked last minute but was still surprised how busy it was giving the covid restrictions. We had to wait around 15 minutes after booking in but that was fine. However once we went through to the room it was very busy and very hot!! Certainly felt like there was no air conditioning on!! Had to queue for each round. Very few people were wearing masks and it was impossible to get a distance. It was so hot my daughter fainted!!! No staff around to help. Until at least 10 minutes after, they did provide cold water , ice pack and a free chocolate bar to raise sugar levels. Would be a good day out if it was better managed and more staff. I get there may be a few members in isolation but if that's the case stop...

I booked Portal Golf for my son’s 8th birthday party and my son and his 9 friends had an absolute blast. We were only allowed two adults but a member of staff joined us and split them into 3 groups. Every hole the kids were trying to work out the best way and absolutely loved the challenge. We went to the tent for pizza which they devoured. Really delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the team on the day. Totally recommend it for kids - big ones too. We did the football party two years ago but a few of my son’s friends weren’t into football so this was perfect- and fun - for them...

My review is so low not because the mini golf was bad, it really was an excellent experience but it was the distance from the end of the golf course to the nearest toilet.

Unfortunately the nearest toilet I could see and remember is at the entrance.

As a person with a disability which affects my bladder control (basically when I have to go I have to go) I would not recommend for those in the same situation as myself.

To put it bluntly I did not make it to the toilet in time and wet myself.

Because of this experience I will never be back at this mini...
