NICE LIL CAFFEE NEXT TO MY FLAT,HAD A SCONE AND COFFEE,ONLY ONE BAD THING IS THE WAITRESS AS I WAS FINISHING COFFE IT SHE KEPT LOOKING AT ME LIKE...you finished go away... THAN SHE WANTED TO TAKE MY CUP AWAY ASKING HAVE I FINISHED AND I SAID NO AND TOLD HER I WANTED ANOTHER COFFEE SO I WENT AND ORDERED AND SCONE TOO AND SHE TOOK MY CUP AWAY WHEN I SAID I DIDN'T FINISH ... FOR ME IS BIT RUDE...HER ATTITUDE IS NOT HOW IT SHOULD BE, I AM HEAD BARISTA AND THIS IS NOT HOW WE TRAIN STAFF,I KNOW IT'S BUSY CAFE BUT I HAVEN'T SAT THERE FOR HOURS WITH ONE COFFEE ....TRAIN THAT GIRL BETTER!!!! AND SHE COULD SMILE TOO ...MOST IMPORTANT THING IN HOSPITALITY...TO MAKE PPL FEEL...

Since the cafe has closed down in Saughton park I've been here a couple of times. It could be so much better as a lot of effort has been put into the cafe design & decor. On my last visit there were 4 people behind the counter to serve me. Everyone seemed to be involved in getting me a coffee and pan au raisin. It didn't seem too efficient and I wonder if this is why it's so expensive. I sat outside where there were empty cups and plates on a number of the tables, but still 4 people behind the counter looking busy serving the next customer. This cafe has big potential, but for me I wonder how long...

While the sandwiches and cake selection are fantastic and tasty, twice now I've had a croissant that was stale. Last time I put it down to ordering at 4 in the afternoon but this time at 8.30am I was expecting fresh pastry... Having worked in catering before I know that pastries and scones don't last the second day so I'm quite disappointed that I've just paid full price for an old pain au chocolate. If you want to reduce wastage maybe sell them discounted and insist on reheating them so they go crunchy again? The cafe is lovely and the coffee is good but I'm put off the...
