Read moreSince the cafe has closed down in Saughton park I've been here a couple of times. It could be so much better as a lot of effort has been put into the cafe design & decor. On my last visit there were 4 people behind the counter to serve me. Everyone seemed to be involved in getting me a coffee and pan au raisin. It didn't seem too efficient and I wonder if this is why it's so expensive. Read moreWhile the sandwiches and cake selection are fantastic and tasty, twice now I've had a croissant that was stale. Last time I put it down to ordering at 4 in the afternoon but this time at 8.30am I was expecting fresh pastry... Having worked in catering before I know that pastries and scones don't last the second day so I'm quite disappointed that I've just paid full price for an old pain au chocolate.
