Ali’s Chippy — Local services in Coventry

Update 28/04/25 - a family member tried the delivery today and yet again absolute trash. Wouldn't even feed a dog incase they might get infected. Thankfully Uber has processed the refund, so really confused where are all the positive feedback is coming from. Please refer to the second picture which was taken from today's delivery. Final lesson learnt, please save your money and also prevent yourself from food poisoning.

If i could rate this a zero, I would. Absolutely horrifying experience today - uncooked cod, old and disgusting chips (see the picture attached), all stale - I wouldn't even feed a rodent this. Tried many times, hoping the quality of their food would improve, but today was the last time, the order was trashed in the bin, wasting lot of money for food that isn't even EATEN, just isn't acceptable. Absolutely feel violated that they can think they can continue to serve thier customers with such quality of food, coupled with charging such high prices. NEVER...

I will always rate this chippy as its always outstanding and one of the best if not the best chippy's in coventry and the staff are top notch cant fault the place, but however after my recent visit since the staff have come back from there holiday or what not the chips wer not cooked enough and some were still hard in the middle and with ordering and looking at the new prices they have introduced, I feel like it's an absolute distater and are asking for to much £3 for a batterd sausage is absolutely outrageous £3 for a cone of chips, where i can get them elsewhere for around £1.60, But £10 for a large doner wrap or doner meat and chips in a tray is just asking for it, and I can honestly say I can get the same for half the price at different chippy's but apart from that this still one of the best around but surely to God at least review the prices and lower them abit for what you get but also at least check the cooking timing of...

Ist time to try out this chippy, ist impressions looked clean, service was quick and the food was pretty good. The girl serving the food looked miserable and couldn't crack a smile, could do with some customer service skill training. I'd still go back to order again as food was tasty and price was about right for the portion size.
