Had a lovely breakfast here on a Saturday morning. Would definitely recommend the posh mushrooms. We all really enjoyed our food including the sweet items we bought before we let to take home. The staff are lovely! Parking is a bit difficult, just have to hope to find a space that isn't double yellows on the residential streets around the cafe. Only issue was the fact you only get an hour for your booking. I understand on a Saturday morning its good for business to get a lot of bookings turned over quickly but an hour isn't long enough to browse the menu, go up and order food (possibly waiting in a queue to order), wait for food, eat and have a chat with whoever your with whilst you finish a coffee. Not sure if there's an option to specify booking duration (obviously within reason!) as I didn't do the booking but we could see from the reserved signs on our table that each booking only got an hour and we felt rushed knowing someone else needed the table an hour after we'd arrived.

Kitchen126 - aka BEST CAFÉ EVER - I should have left a review sooner as I visit at least once a week as the food and coffee are so insanely good!! My food was delicious today, I opted for the Next Level Shakshuka and man was it next level!! Every element of the dish cooked perfectly, lamb was melt in the mouth and portion size perfect, my eggs were beautifully cooked and a I had the perfect amount of feta to balance the richness of the yummy sauce. It was also seasoned amazingly. There was plenty of bread for dipping which was great because although I was full I didn’t want to stop eating, this is definitely one of the meals on the menu that is a larger portion which was great as I ate at 10 this morning and had a really busy day and didn’t need to eat again until dinner time. I had a chia latte today which was gorgeous as always! Thank you kitchen126 for my fave meal always!! You guys are amazing 🔥

I absolutely love it here! Always amazing friendly staff who can’t do enough for you , food is always SO good from the presentation to the flavours of the dishes - I highly recommend having a few plates and sharing as they are all just too good not to try! It is also perfect for my 3 and 4 year old who love the avocado on toast and a fresh smoothie all while playing with their lovely toys / colouring and even better when the weather is dry so we can sit outside and watch them play with in child area. Whether I’m popping in for a quick coffee, brunch with friends, or just some quiet time, this café never disappoints. A true gem—I can’t recommend it enough

Made my eyes water when I ordered my sandwich, and the lady said £6.50... was even more disappointed when I ate the sandwich... was expecting something amazing for it to cost that much. Nope. Was an ordinary sandwich, and the sausage was undercooked. Very underwhelming. I could get a full breakfast with a cup of tea for that price in any normal establishment. The interior/exterior or location of the cafe didn't warrant them charging these prices either. On the exterior it looks like a bang average cafe so I was expecting bang average cafe prices. Was not expecting to pay premium prices for average food in the middle of Coventry of all places

The fact I gave dixy chicken a better review than you and their food hurt my stomach is more a reflection on yourselves than me. All of my reviews are honest. In fact the only time I leave a review is when I feel compelled to. Otherwise I won't bother. We have cafes like yours all over Birmingham, I suggest you come and visit and see how it's done properly. If you can't even get the most bang average items on your menu right then I don't know. Like I said, the sausage was undercooked.. didn't even taste like premium ingredients. Look up windowbox cafe and see how it's done properly, I am in no way affiliated with them, but they do everything you guys do but 100x better. They charge premium prices and I'm more than...

The food was superb. I have a restricted diet so most of the menu was off limits but my companion is a foody and was impressed.

However there were no menus on the table and because the till area was so busy with take out when we arrived, we didn't see them, and couldn't have got to them. We waited half an hour for a coffee, even though by the time we ordered it was quiet (3 tables occupied, no queue). Service was far slower than you would expect for the number of customers.

The place is VERY small, they've tried to use it the best they can but it seemed like friends were just hanging there in the hall to chat blocking the way to and from the back room.

What I really didn't like was a staff member opening the door with her shoed foot several times, raising it above table height near where people were eating, but also not wiping it for the next person going out to eat possibly with their fingers.

Again the food was excellent, but little things like no napkins, long wait for order, it just felt like they had a really good chef but the front of house wasn't important.

I feel like it's almost really...

It was not made clear that pre booking is required. We sat in the window seat for 15 minutes deciding what to order and wasn’t until we went up to order that the staff member told us they are not serving food for people who haven’t booked. I could not understand why the staff who saw us arrive did not politely communicate this with us upon our arrival instead of waiting until we were ready to order. When they did communicate, the staff member was rude. We heard the same staff member communicating with a colleague about having to ask other people who had ordered to leave because they didn’t have enough tables for people turning up for bookings. The staff were clearly stressed and were not able to hide this so it was impacting on the atmosphere for their customers. Sadly this appears to be a cafe which is struggling to run during busy periods and unfortunately during those periods it is affecting their customer service. Hopefully they can take this feedback forwards and remember that their communication and attitude is just as important as making...
