I popped in towards closing time on a Sunday afternoon looking to buy a football for our little boy to take to the park.
I found a ball, but it didn't have any packaging and therefore no barcode. Realising this would likely be a problem I asked a member of staff for some assistance. His reaction was to inform me that he thought the ball came from a two pack from somewhere on the other side of the store. He didn't offer to show me where.
I went off searching for the product, but couldn't find it so I approached another member of staff who initially appeared more helpful. He too thought it was a two pack and then proceeded to head off confidently towards the check outs, however once there he acted as though I was not with him. I was slightly confused, thinking that he may have been suffering from brain fade over where the product was stored. He then spoke to another member of staff about a different matter and then dashed off to the staff room not to be seen again.
Finally, one of the check out assistants was able to help. He called a colleague on his intercom and obtained the barcode.
I can only assume the first two members of staff were more interested in finishing for the day. It may be a budget supermarket, but I don't expect to receive a poor service.
I won't be going back to this store.

Read morereally rude manager, went to the checkout and scanned a cheeseboard selection and it came up with almost double the price of what was marked on the label. we asked the woman as we had a photo of the label and she snatched it off my dad and claimed it was a different product. However, there were no other cheeseboard selections in that aisle. i wouldn’t have a problem if it genuinely was our fault and it was handled in a polite manner but the manager stormed off and said she was putting it back, with no offer to replace it for the “correct one” (probably because there was no other cheeseboard selection and she knew it was a labelling error.) the other worker was lovely and was highly apologetic but there was no effort to correct the mistake. i work in hospitality and my dad has over 30years experience in retail and it’s well known that a price change could have been made considering it was an error on their behalf. very annoying when you strive to provide good service in your area of work but can’t be provided with the same when you become...
