This little inn was a halfway point for our Bath to Bristol walk. It seems a lot of the customers were on road trips. Now I’d never been to a “Harvester” before but one look at the menu and I knew what it was, in that hard to explain emphemeral way. Far too many choices for one kitchen. A crowd pleasing restaurant intended to fill up a family. We had the free salad bar. It had a great variety of different choices. Decently fresh. I had the original combo and the gf had ap pitta wrap. Original combo. Good flavour but a bit boring. Slightly dry chicken and not enough bbq flavour on the ribs (I’m not talking sauce, I’m talking marinade) The best thing ok the plate were the honeyed corn potato cubes, which had an interesting depth and complexity about them. Onion and sage chips were also very good. The Gfs pita, I was informed was dry. If she had been informed about the sauce bar she could have avoided the issue. We had an issue with the ketchup. The bottle on our table was awfully vinegary tasting. I looked at the back and found it had expired based on the date sticker on the back. If we’d been explained how everything worked ( it was our first time) then our experience emight have gone better. You may think this is a lot of complaining for a 4 star review, but too beginner I expected much worse and wa a pleasantly surprised with the quality.

This evening we had the the privilege of being served by Shanaya who was the perfect hostess. She gauged our humour level just right. We were there for my husbands birthday, four of us including my parents. The food is very tasty and quickly served, one starter was a little later arriving but we were told and apologised to. It really was only a couple of minutes and we all had bowls filled at the salad bar. We had our mains without any problems. Shanaya discretely asked me beforehand if it was ok to put a candle in my husband's chocolate fudge cake. I told her he wouldn't mind The ice-cream machine was being a bit slow so we were asked if we minded waiting or would we prefer something different. We waited, yet again it took very little time and it gave more time for our mains to digest. Great hilarity again as Shanaya brought out the puddings and we sang Happy Birthday. We enjoyed ourselves. I would encourage people to sample this Harvester for reasonably priced, enjoyable food and to experience the customer service talents of the lovely Shanaya. Thankyou for a lovely evening

The food was really nice and you know what your getting as everything been cooked to the same standard every time i never had anything over or under cooked definitely recommend this place Important there is a parking system in place so you haft to add numberplate to a screen when you enter to avoid a parking charge

We had dinner in this Harvester. We arrived so late in a dark night around 8pm. There was not clear vehicle information collection sign on the table ot cashier. And nobody reminded us and came to collect our vehicle plate information. Two weeks late we recieved a parking fine notice for the park in their parking area. The car was rented. Thus, there was a admin fee from the car rental company. I called and requested to cancel this parking fine notice. But I was told sometimes they forgot to remind their customer and collect their vehicle information, and I needed to take the reciept to visit this restaurant again and provide the relevant information. But I live far away (more than 100 miles). Finally, they gave me their email address and agreed I could send a picture of the receipt and the fine letter to them. They would handle this. I did as they told me. But two weeks later, there was no any progress at all. In the thed week, I just passed by and drove additional 1hr to this restaurant to show the information. Given their failure to inform, I requested a compensation for the admin fee from the car rental compaly. I was told the manager would deal with the parking fine notice and will reply me email to discuss the compensation issue in one week. And the parking control company cancelled the fine notice based on my own appeal sent to the company directly. Unfortunately, I have not recieved any news from their manager so far. I am extremely disappointed with how this restaurant handled...

I haven't been to a harvester for years but we decided to give it a try with the kids. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and the seating comfortable. Shanaya (I think that was her name), our waitress was absolutely fantastic with the kids and they really liked her interacting with them. I thought as we don't go often id go big or go home with the ridiculous trio thing, ribs, chicken and a beef shortrib with onion rings and fries. It was ridiculous big, completely fair for the £27 odd price tag. The food was great, short rib a little tough, but it takes hours and hours to get them falling off the bone and harvester isn't a dedicated bbq restaurant. Having said that it was still incredibly tasty. The kids ate absolutely loads of their meals they had chosen which was fantastic, even if they did make retching noises at the thought of a salad bar 😆. Got a 25% off voucher and fed the family for just over £55 which to be honest given the quality and quantity of food I was impressed with. (Especialy with my ridiculous meal) the kids got a desert with their meals, I was surprised to see that they offered a vegan "ice cream" option which was wonderful as my youngest is lactose intolerant which meant she could join in and have a sundae with her sister! We will...
