A Heartfelt Thank You to the BFT Team ā This Gym Truly Changed My Life
I came to BFT after trying just about everything to lose weight and improve my health. I started in July last year, and like many others on a wellness journey, I faced plenty of ups and downs. There were times I seriously thought about quittingābut thanks to the incredible support, encouragement, and care from the BFT coaches, I didnāt. And Iām so grateful I kept going.
This gym isnāt just for seasoned athletesāitās for everyone, including people like me who had never stepped into a gym before. BFT has helped me transform not only my physical health but also my mental wellbeing and how I manage chronic pain. There truly is something here for everyone.
You get the motivation of group training, the positive energy of a supportive community, and the dedicated attention of coaches who genuinely care. Itās like having a personal trainer, but in an affordable, empowering group environment. The coachesā infectious enthusiasm pushes you to give your best every single session.
Since joining, Iāve lost 26 kg, and my BMI has dropped from 36.1 to 26.3. But more importantly, I now have the energy and confidence to play with my children, be a more engaged parent, and set a healthy example for them. BFT has changed my lifeāand my journey is far from over.

BFT is completely different and it was perfect for me as a beginner. I walked past the gym several times and wanted to be brave enough to go in. Still a coward though. I booked a class online, chickened out and then Tommy reached out to support me. Not as a sale, but as a gentle nudge to just come in and try.
I've now been here since March and I couldn't be happier. Every session trainers check my form, show me different ways to do an exercise and encourage me to just go a little further. They are the most friendly and lovely team and I am so thankful. They know me by name, hold me accountable without shaming me and check how I am. I love the classes and how it's improved my daily mood and my health. I am surprising myself with how I want to care about my diet, how I want to contribute to the 8-week challenge and even build on my goals outside gym! It isn't all in one go and I have a long way to go, but that is the best part - I can see myself being fitter over time and can choose my own goals (and I haven't even been here long!)

Before BFT I used to get out of breath going up the stairs, and after 5 mins at 5-a-side I was blowing out every candle in Leicester.
Now (as well as all the physical changes mentioned above) - I'm full of energy, more productive at work, sleeping better, have a better awareness of nutrition, can lift heavier and run waayyyyy longer than before.
When I was a member of a 'normal gym', my consistency just wasn't there, I was plateauing, getting bored and then just not going.
With the awesome classes, super friendly coaches and the encouraging & supportive community at BFT Leicester - it's harder not to attend - and its that ease of building the habit and creating the consistency that gets the results.
In, warmed up, worked out, cooled down, showered and out to smash the day in 1 hour, before most people are awake - WINNING!
