Definitely my favourite place in the city centre. I usually go there in the night and enjoy the soothing sound of the water dropping from the fountain. If you are a tourist, you definitely need to check the Town Hall Square. It's true that it's located right in the middle of the city, but it's a peaceful haven for me when I feel burdened or sad. The changing colours of Town Hall tower are just amazing to watch, the pigeons that come to drink from the fountain, the little garden in there ... it's just beautiful. It's the place that will always remimd me of Leicester if I leave it one day. Also, you can grab a bite from nearby restaurants and sit in the chairs there and just enjoy the view. I usually buy shawarma wraps from the Shawarma place which is right behind the Town Hall and sit in the Square to enjoy my food. I definitely recommend this place for...

The Town Hall was designed and built by the architect of the time and a native of Leicester Francis J. Ha around 1874 ;it has a fountain placed in the center of the square in front of Twon Hall.This architect distinguished himself from his other colleagues of the time for having created his work with a completely modern and innovative style called Queen Anne.
