Great tasty food reasonable price and hot unlike many places where the food is mildly warm. Good selection of combinations of food.
I have been a regular customer to Oodles for at least 2 years, with my last visit being yesterday. My son and I arrived there a touch after noon, so they had been open just over an hour. First issue we had was that they only accept cash! This was frustrating given the current climate with covid and that many have taken to not even carrying cash for the obvious reasons. Having overcome this obstacle and the luke warm reception by the lad at the ordering station, we were a tad disappointed by the selection of drinks or lack of healthier options. We placed our orders and waited, We were the only customers there for the entire duration of our visit (including the time it took to consume our food) and there was a plethora of staff and still we waited.... and waited.... yawn and waited. Finally we got our order having already feeling, I wish we had gone elsewhere but hey it's great food right? First thing I noticed was that over time the large box has become less than a small, the boxes have increasingly shrunk in size whilst prices have increased. I also noticed that the food was not as flavoursome as it used to be but worst of all where was my chicken? Seriously you choose on wet and one dry dish and I must have had a tablespoon of each. Oodles used to be such value for money. Frankly I was disgusted and felt like it was not even an appetiser. I won't ever be using...
Read morePlaced an order at 12:30 and was expecting the food to arrive by 1:30. Rang the restaurant at 1:30 asking where the food is and the guy I spoke to said 10 minutes. I waited another 20 minutes and rang again to be told it will be another 10 minutes. So my food only arrived at 2pm for the food to be cold. I rang to complain about my food being cold and having to reheat it which meant the quality of the food was poor. I was then told I would get a refund however 10 minutes later I received a call from the driver to say he’s come to pick up the food and give a new order. When I specifically stated that I do not want a new order as that would mean I’d have to wait even longer for my food to arrive. I then received another call from the restaurant where the person I spoke to proceeded to swear at me on the phone saying that I shouldn’t ask for refund if I got given the food. Not acknowledging the fact that he lied to me on the phone about where my order is and then said I’d get a refund for the poor service. And he continued to swear at me over the phone and then hung up without anything being resolved. The service was appalling and the people I work with overheard the conversation and were appalled by the way I was spoken to over the phone. Never...
Read moreWe have been ordering the same combination from here for the past few years so I know that the crispy chicken and salt and pepper chicken are supposed to taste tender with a light crispy batter. And the beef szechuan is usually full of flavour with a nice kick to it. The malaysian chicken is tender and velvety. But this last time that I ordered the food was not even edible. The chicken had been refried/over fried so the chicken fibres were chewy and the batter was so tough. This was with all the chicken (crispy chk, salt and pepper chk& malaysian chk). The beef szechuan was flavourless. It didnt have its usual spicy kick. It tasted like it was slathered in oil and hardly any flavour. It was quite disappointing. A waste of money as had to bin most of it as it wasnt edible. Come on oodles, this isnt like you, you had good quality control and high standards when you first opened. Now it seems like the price is going up and standards are going down. We have also noticed that majority of the box is now filled with sides ( noodles/chips) and theres less chicken. Think I'll try another branch before I...
