My wife and I recently visited Brighton and did five escape rooms, including three with Pier Pressure, and it was an unforgettable experience! Tea Party was the first room we tried, located at their secondary site. This Alice in Wonderland-themed room was filled with unique and immersive details and secrets—perfect for families or beginners. The design gently guided you with lights highlighting what you should focus on, making it a really fun experience. We escaped in 40 minutes and 2 seconds! The highlight was the game master (can’t remember his name - sorry), who was fantastic. He stayed in character as the Mad Hatter’s cousin and really made the experience come alive. A couple of days later, we returned to tackle two more rooms. Loot the Lanes is in the top three best escape rooms I’ve ever done. It's an incredibly immersive recreation of the Brighton Lanes, complete with cobbled streets and authentic shop fronts. The fun started before we even got inside! Simon, our game master, played the role of a jewel thief, escorting us to the room located a couple of minutes down the road from Pier Pressure in a cafe basement, staying in character the whole time—even interacting with people in the street and cafĂ©. It was so funny! The room's puzzles were challenging but fair and very varied, and we managed to escape in 50:20 without needing any clues. It’s recommended for four players, but we managed as a duo, and Simon told us we were one of the best teams he’d seen (though I’m sure he says that to everyone!). This room is creative, fun, and incredibly well-designed. We ended with Raver Quest, hosted by Vik, and after the intensity of Loot the Lanes, this was a more relaxed, fun room. Set in a 90s nightclub, it’s full of energy, and there’s a big red button that sets off lights and pumps the music up—so much fun! We couldn’t resist dancing at different points during our 43 minutes inside. It’s probably more fun for a larger group, but we still had a blast as a duo. Fairly easy room if you've done a few before. Overall, Pier Pressure is one of the best escape room companies we’ve visited. The game masters were all great and in character, which really adds to the experience. At the end, you get a badge and a card with your time, plus some fun stamps for achievements like "Terrific Talkers", “Clueless Wonders” and "Small but Mighty." We can’t wait to come back to Brighton and try their other rooms!

Every city or country we travel to on holiday, we always make sure to try out a local escape room so suffice to say we've done our fair share of escape rooms over the years. This escape room was by far the best escape room we have ever experienced. We did the dog friendly escape room which didn't have any loud or scary noises. We were really impressed by the incredible high quality of the escape room as all of the puzzles were really solid and bespoke crystal maze type puzzles with very few keys or combination padlocks which most escape rooms are heavily reliant on. Another pleasant surprise were all the covid safe measures taken to protect the customers and staff such as air purifiers and sanitising of each room and encouragement of hand sanitizer and using masks. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We could not fault this escape room at all and could not recommend it enough. We will be sure to try the other rooms the next time we visit Brighton.

I had the pleasure of entering this establishment last Friday. I didn't know what to expect but it was fantastic. I had so much fun. As soon as you walked in, the game's host was incredibly welcoming. He had a massive smile on his face and explained the rules of the escape room as well as the theme. There are nine escape rooms with various difficulty levels. The escape room offers a variety of challenges to suit all kinds of thinkers. I think it's perfect for testing your communication skills and team bonding. During the experience you can get help from the game host, they won't tell the answer, but you'll get hints and tips that will ultimately help you 😊 If you want to do something different, come to this escape room establishment. I'll certainly come back again, you get 10% off the next game đŸ€—

Amazing set of escape rooms. We've two rooms in a team of two, Broken and Loot the Lanes. (More about the rooms below.) The setting is very professional, with a clean store front, hosts who clearly enjoy escape rooms themselves, and a lady on the front desk with incredible energy. They spray all the surfaces and ventilate the rooms between teams, so you don't have to mask once you're in the room. Like most rooms these days, they don't actually lock you in, so you can pop out to the loo or if you get claustrophobic. Broken is pretty good with some unusual puzzles as well as a few of the standard "find a four-digit code for the padlock" type. The theming was pretty good apart from the music, which was a bit distracting and not in keeping with the theme. It worked well in a duo but I expect three or four would enjoy it just as much. Loot the Lanes is the acme of escape games, one of the best we've ever done. If you're blasé and think you've seen everything, this game is for you. There's some unique puzzles and as a purpose-built room, every part of it fits in. The theming and set dressing is superb. It's best with a group of four: it's very nonlinear with a couple of puzzles that benefit from a group. We were OK as a duo but if you're new to escape rooms I'd recommend a bigger group. Our host was lovely and didn't offer any unwanted hints, letting us do everything in our own way. Of all the escape rooms in Brighton, Pier Pressure is the most businesslike and I'd recommend it equally to experienced eacapers or if you've never done it before and don't know...

This was a friend and my first experience of an escape room, we had no idea what to expect but were hoping to have a great time and come out desperate to do another one soon. That is exactly what we got, from the very start, the welcome from the people who worked there and then the explanation of the room etc was fantastic - you got the feeling that they really enjoyed working there and had an enthusiasm for the product which you couldn't help but feed off.

The room we chose was Raver Quest due to it apparently being the most fun and least challenging of the ones at this location. It was definitely fun, the music was great and the concept fun and interesting. The clues & games within were extremely well thought out, the imagination it must take to create something like this is really quite amazing. As for least challenging........it was still very challenging and pushed us right to the edge of the time, we needed some clues to achieve the goal and this is another area they excelled in - they knew when we needed a little nudge and did so without making it too easy still.

We had looked forward to doing this escape room for ages and sometimes when you are building up to something it can disappoint - this did NOT. It truly was challenging fun and we both came out happy, buzzing and looking forward to the next one. We will be doing many more escape rooms and will definitely be returning to Pier Pressure - thanks for making the experience...
