Very disappointed. I went in here this evening, I looked in the food range and everything with batter on looked burnt so I decided to have a chicken leg and chips. I asked for the chicken to be cooked in the oil, when I got home I opened the paper and the chicken looked pale and when I cut into it I could still see blood and it was cold. Never mind I thought the chips would be OK, how wrong was I..... They were also cold and they looked like they had been there a while, they looked like scrumps.. Insanely disappointed. I have been going to this chip shop for over 4 years and never had an issue, infact it was my favourite chip shop. Today i ordered a online for the first time because i couldnt make it in person and to say what arrived was appalling would be an understatement. I ordered a large bag of chips and what arrived was half the amount of a usual small size from this very chip shop. This 'large' only fed one person. Fish and Chip shop prices gone up again since new ownership. Chips a little under cooked when visited Monday evening at 7pm. Fish was OK, skin on and quite a few bones to watch out for. Their Chinese curry sauce is recommended and tasty. Place has been there for 40 years + and they should try a bit harder. Some of the staff are miserable and not welcoming.
