Golden BBQ — Restaurant in Wales

I have been going here for a while the food is great price is ok but steep to be honest. But my major reason for a 1 star is simply they’re cons who pretend to be nice so you will keep visiting them. When I first arrived it was “hello sister how are you ?” months down the line nothing much. You’ll also notice as you visit more they will do things to cut cost such as when I first went there my food was kept in a container and then wrapped in paper now they recognise me they don’t use the paper or if I had a bag before they no longer give one probably to cut costs. On multiple occasions I notice that they would attempt to over charge me as well sometimes by a pound or by a few pence regardless it’s not acceptable. And their prices seem to change a lot as they get more popular they seem to charge more. I’ve seen this tactic before many times I visited Turkey i’d visit a shop for food they’re all pleasant “welcome welcome” after a few trips all that happiness is gone. Really dissapointing service from my favourite kebab house. I have order for many years and never had poor quality of food or service, however a recent order of over £30 was delivered to the wrong address after I had told them my new address when ordering. After speaking to them they seemed apologetic and shocked, however as it was a busy Saturday night and late now, I did not request this order to be re-delivered or demand a refund, as I was told that our next order would be covered as they knew I was a regular customer. When phoning to claim this order 2 weeks later, I was told the manager said to only deduct £5 from the total. I am extremely disappointed in this service, over £30 of food went to the wrong address and I trusted that this would be rectified in the future in good faith. Went in to get some food, which looked nice.

For some reason there were 7 people behind the counter but thats by the by.

Ordered my food and the guy said they dont take card, which is weird but okay.

I told them I didnt have my card since im staying at the hospital. The guy said if I have contactless on my phone, he could take my phone in the back and take the payment.

I wasn't gonna hand my phone to a stranger to take to a back room and mysteriously take my payment (you need your fingerprint to make contactless payments) and its completely unethical to even ask that.

I work as a fraud investigator and this comes up as a huge red flag for me. Taking someone's phone to a back room is dodgy as it is but writing the orders down on some graphite paper and taking bank payments screams fraud/money laundering/Unreported sales.
