Greek Village — Restaurant in Wales

• AN HONEST REVIEW * The food was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! The service, however, needs a slight improvement. We booked our table for 18:00, I walked in and was expecting to be greeted by someone. I stood in the reception area for a few minutes and the staff (around 4 of them) just looked at me. I approached the till / cooking area and once again, the staff just looked at me and didn't speak to me. I mentioned I had a table booked and the man I spoke to just looked like a deer in headlights, tapped someone else, who then went into the back area and got someone else to help me. The restaurant and toilet area are all very clean! Slightly slippery floor at first, so be careful! but otherwise very clean. We ordered, food came, ate - it was all absolutely incredible! It was so tasty, beautifully cooked and such a good portion. However, no one came over to ask if the food was okay, we needed more drinks and no one was around, the restaurant wasn't busy at all and we had to get up to ask for the bill. This place is no more than a kebab shop with extra seats if you want to eat your takeaway inside. I booked this place for my wife's birthday and 1st they tried to seat us where all the delivery people come to collect orders. This would have meant drivers standing over us as we ate. The meal arrived and we asked for the starter before the main. The starter arrived 30 secs before the main giving us no time to eat it and we ended up wasting the starter as the main would have gone cold. The main arrived literally straight after the starter despite the waitress asking us when we wanted it. The food was only ok, nothing more than a takeaway kebab sitting at a cheap table in a busy takeaway kebab shop. This certainly wasn't a restaurant experience and definitely not worth the money we paid for our meal. Don't come here if you dont want eat inside at a kebab shop. That's all this place is. Very...

Ilove this place. i am there everytime i return home to cardiff. stopped there friday night, it was busy with dine in an dtake away. they really need another tsaff member as all thos who were there didnt stop. I would have marked service as 5 stars but friday was disappointing. I gave the order to the girl on my arrival to save her coming back to ne which would have taken time but she said she needed the tablet for my order and she would be right back. Well over five minutes, i went to the counter and gave my order to the other girl as the first was distracted. when i went to pay after my meal, i still had to wait as both girls were dealing with other orders. i highly recommend greek village but more staff are required for busy evenings, like fridays...
