Having been here on a few occasions , we thought this place was ok . But we went there on a Friday night . My husband had just one pint . Me & my 16 year old daughter went to the toilets , when we returned the landlady that we had never seen before was having words with my husband who had got himself a jack Daniels . She promptly took his drink & treated him with calling the police if he drank it . My husband went outside for a cigarette as he was not happy . I went to see if he was ok . To come back to this same woman to be questioning my daughter about identity card etc . My daughter does not & has never drunk alcohol . As soon as this overweight piece of work saw me , she sheppardly shuffled off . Not saying a word to me ! I do not appreciate a gutless wonder that talks to my daughter without explaining herself to me . We will not be back as obviously the obese landlady doesn't like anyone other than her regulars . No one else...

My brother-in-law only had a quarter of a pint to drink, but one of the barmen stood over us, harassing us, ordering us to "chug,chug!" There were three other tables that he didn't target. He returned several times, trying to give us plastic cups to leave. It was completely unnecessary and spoilt what was, until that, a nice evening. I can't understand where the attitude came from and why we were targeted. We hadn't been rude, loud, or disruptive. We won't be back if that's how we will be treated. I would make a complaint if I thought it would make a difference, but I don't...

The food is great, fresh and brought to you well presented. You get the feeling who ever is in the back cares about what they're serving. Something you don't get from a lot of places.
