Me and my son came here for the first time. They have a sign saying cod supper £10.50 so I looked at the sign then said to the man can I have the fish and chips. He then charged me for fish and chips single items not the meal, as they were making up the order I said can I have the mushy peas with mine .. the man behind the counter was so rude. Told me I ordered fish and chips and mushy peas weren't in the price I'd paid. So then I stood there worked out how much I had spent then questioned why it came to so much for just chips curry sauce and jumbo sausage in a tray and if they had charged me for one fish and one chips. His attitude was you asked for the items I've changed them all separately. I have to honest the attitude of the guy has put me off coming back, who even puts the items through separately when you specify you want them as meals! He wouldn't have it tho. Then they started speaking amongst themselves saying I was unbelievable, so was all the other customers who don't order the food correctly and blame them! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! After thoroughly enjoying the eateries of Wellfield Road, we made the rather unfortunate mistake of expecting a replicated experience with Wellfield Road chip shop. I asked the food server for large open chips. When the chips were ready, he began wrapping them, despite me informing him from the outset I wanted the chips open. His response to me was “I’ve wrapped then now, “I am utterly appalled and would advise people to avoid this RUDE establishment and their hard chips. i used this place a while ago ti try it out as iy was new. found it expensive but worth it. unfortunately i was passing the place tonight and ordered fish n chips large chips and 2 batter sossages and cury suace and mushy peas. the fiish was horrible the chips wer hard inside and cold the peas came out the container in one lump and was cold and the sossages were hard. the curry suace was hot and tasty but i will be avoiding this olace in the future. it all went in the bin and im no off to anither chippy as i still want food. thanks...
