I'm sorry to say my meal was such a disappointment, My family has enjoyed the food from this take away for many years, but tonight my selection of food delivered was very bland, much of the meat content was way overcooked and so dry that it was difficult to cut through, the rice was also overcooked and stodgy, the Dirty chips were hard and appeared to have been cooked and left standing for sometime, certainly not worth the £30 I paid for it. Sadly after the meal tonight we will not be using Tim's again and I shall be cancelling the account.
I opened an account with Tim's expecting great things, I did like their website which allowed you to pre-book your orders before the shop started service or they opened, but sadly I can only assume that the food was cooked way before the time for delivery and had been left standing for sometime prior.
I understand that New Owners have new methods and we accept new cooking ethics have been introduced, but grossly overcooked ingredients is no excuse. sadly I wouldn't recommend Tim's. Please do not accept the customer service to be understanding either, following a lengthy phone call with Tim's, the polite response I received was, that although they were sorry that we did not like the food " It was just probably not to our taste". I was offered another meal, which I declined, but when I mentioned a possible refund, I was told a definite " no" as I had placed the review online and had damaged their business....
Read moreBeen a customer for years and only had issues since the new management took over. Today was the fourth time we had ordered and spent over £50, which with the new pricing is not a hard thing to do. This was the second time the order was incorrect, phoned to advise there was a mistake and was given an apology and told that they would deliver the missing item, couple of minutes later we receive a call to say there would be a delivery charge as we are not within their free delivery area and they had given us a free dish today, guessing this was due to the previous error with the order. Told them to forget it and we will no longer be a customer.
Now for a quick review of the food we did collect. Chicken balls were over cooked, batter to hard, suggest the chips had been partly cooked before and then refried as cooked to a crisp. Noodles had no flavour and were dry, crispy chicken was crispy but tasteless, only item that met expectation was the prawn crackers.
Such a same to leave a review like this, we have moved a couple of times since we started using Tims for our Chinese meal and we were more than happy to travel a couple of miles to colllect as the quality of the food and the service was always up...
Read moreMy wife and I have used the previous Tim's for years and have used the new management Tim's thrice so far. I have had the lemon chicken, the sweet and sour chicken, the dumplings and, for old-time's sake, banana fritters as my wife and I aren't big eaters. I found our food to be well-cooked, hot, tasty and surprisingly generous portions with some fortune cookies thrown in for free which is a nice touch. I was very pleased with the taste and might be a bit more adventurous with my choices next time.
I would recommend it on the basis of my last 3 visits and I actually think it is slightly better than old Tim's but that is a subjective judgement. I won't make them rich with my weekly small orders but if the standard remains the same they'll retain my custom.
I think people should give new businesses a chance to settle in and iron out problems but I also appreciate that some may not want to do that.
My verdict: I love it so far and my ratings reflect it, if things change , well, I'll be...
