My second visit to this lively Christmas Market (I was here in 2021). It was pretty much the same as last time, with wooden chalets all along Parliament Street and into St Sampson's Square. I came on a Friday and it was extremely busy. Difficult to get a look at some of the stalls because there were so many people milling around. But there were some lovely gift ideas and original crafts ranging from flower jewellery and scented candles to hand turned wooden pens, leather drinking vessels and watercolours of local scenes, as well as fashion accessories, knitwear and homewares. There were stalls selling unusual Christmas decorations, and lots of festive food and drink. This must be the best market. A tip. Don't arrive by car, finding a parking space in the car parks is nigh on impossible AND ruinously expensive, use the park & ride if coming by car, much easier. Buses are fast and very frequent AND they are smooth clean electric buses. Train station is a very short walk from the centre and trains are fast and very frequent. The world famous railway museum is FREE admission but for me I'd choose the street life museum as an...
