Museum of Island History — Attraction in Newport

I partially only visited this museum to obtain directions if that makes sense. My luck was running low that day. I had caught the ferry across to the island and was already feeling a little shaken but not stirred. I sort of recognised someone on the ferry who will remain anonymous. But is probably quite important (public figure) I think that I may have accidentally given them a tiny shock. I was sporting what appeared to resemble a cricket box but was actually a homemade male panty pad. Anyway back to the museum via a vibrant bus ride through the collection of small villages and country lanes that constitute the island. By the way the staff at the museum were super helpful and friendly (if not a bit suspicious of me). I picked up a small vibe of subterranean shenanigans. Fierce fossils in rivers of viscous mud. We spent an hour in here and it was only £5 to get in for the 3 of us. You couldn't really spend any more time here, which is quite good, as the parking is by meter and you can only park for a maximum of 2 hours anyway.

There are interactive things for children to do and it gives you a great insight into the history of the island. If that is something you are interested in then it is definitely worth a quick visit.

I wouldn't recommend it for young children...

Quite a small Museum. However, the receptionist was nice and was able to tell us what else to check out in the area. Though a small Museum, it had some informative history to present to its visitors. As expected, it was excellently clean and well arranged. If you are on the Isle of Wight, it would be a good place to visit as other attractions are quite far away...
