We had the absolute pleasure of Eat Street being our caterers and coordinators for our wedding day earlier this month. We reached out to them after sampling many of their different take away dishes, pop up events and hiring The Eat Street Table (TEST) for my Mumâs 60th birthday, so we didnât hesitate in choosing them. Their communication has always been excellent and they patiently made suggestions for different dishes and concepts. We initially had no idea what we wanted, but this didnât phase them and they were happy to help us to design exactly the right menu. Due to Alexâs experience and skills, we were lucky that Eat Street could cater for absolutely everything we wanted. We chose to have drinks on arrival, coordinated by Laurel. We then had freshly baked breads and specially selected olives with a cocktail post ceremony. The wedding breakfast was amazing! A carefully designed and bespoke 4 course meal with special, personalised touches. Every dish had ingredients that we both loved and they worked perfectly together. We had Eat Street pittas and a selection of dips to start, a Mille-feuille of cheese and Isle of Wight tomatoes, beef sirloin for main and a chocolate, cherry and pistachio themed dessert - many of our favourite foods! Alex and Laurel sourced specific island produce for us for some of the dishes and we loved having a tasting before the wedding, so that we could make any slight tweaks to the dishes. Alex and Laurels knowledge of catering events really helped; they made suggestions that were so useful. It really was so much fun to work with them to develop our perfect menus. Our evening reception was a different concept again, we had a delicious vegetarian curry dish with Eat Streets signature colourful samosas and chutneys. Packed with colour, textures and flavour! We were delighted with our dessert table too; which was a selection of sweet treats offering something for everyone. Again, we had personal touches which really made a difference. Last but not least, Alex baked and created our amazing wedding cake. Working with us to design a cocktail inspired, pina colada cake. It was so different and delicious! We have lost count of the positive comments that we received on the day about all of the food, it really was one of the big stars of the show! It was so clear that Alex and Laurel took so much time and care in not only the designing and creation of the food but also the coordination of the day. Laurel was able to offer many suggestions on how to best organise all of the little logistical details and they both worked so hard to make it such a wonderful day for us and our guests. We had people say to us, âweâve never had such amazing food at a weddingâ and things like âI loved every dish, it was so different but so deliciousâ. Another important part of our day for us, was ensuring that our friends and family with allergies were well catered for. This absolutely happened thanks to Alex and Laurel. They ensured that gluten free dishes were as close to the other dishes as possible, which I know was really appreciated by those guests. In addition, we decided that we wanted to have a post wedding brunch the day after the wedding. Again, this was excellent. Alex and Laurel provided a delicious array of freshly made smoothies and locally roasted coffee cold brew with granolas, yoghurt, compotes and a really interesting egg and bacon dish with a twist! We cannot stress enough, how grateful we are to Eat Street, for their commitment and innovation to our wedding day. Thank...
Read moreEat Street catered our wedding in August 2024 and they were one of the best supplier decisions we made. We wanted unusual food, delivered 'family' style, with bright colours and delicious flavours, and Eat Street ticked all of those boxes. Alex and Laurel were a dream to work with, helping us develop a menu that felt like 'us'. The tasting was such a nice experience and helped us to refine this further and feel confident in our choices. A bonus was that they catered everything from their converted horse box, so using Eat Street also meant we didn't have to pay the 'kitchen fee' at the venue.
Then, the day itself. Laurel made sure everything ran smoothly, and our guests RAVED about the food - the canapes, the breakfast and the evening food. Genuinely still a year on, friends have said to me "The food at your wedding. It was incredible!". Because it was unusual, I think people really remembered it - and obviously because it was delicious too (see snaps attached!).
A year on, I got in touch with Laurel to ask her if they would recreate our wedding breakfast as an anniversary surprise for my husband. Alex & Laurel accommodated my every request and then some, turning up at our hotel room door with a delicious delivery version of our perfect meal.
Overall, I couldn't recommend Eat Street enough, and hope we will have many more anniversary meals...
Read moreWe went with Eat street for our wedding in July after trying to find a caterer who could do an Asian-inspired menu, and honestly we could not have gone with a better caterer! Alex and Laurel were amazing and really took care to create a bespoke menu that ticked all of our boxes. Planning a wedding, especially the catering side of things is very challenging but Laurel was great at being on hand for any questions I had and really helped make the planning go as easy as it could. She also got in touch just before the wedding when the weather forecast was looking disastrous and helped come up with a contingency plan which she and Alex pulled off on the wedding day without myself or the groom having to get involved at all. Laurel also took the time on the day to make sure we were happy and well fed. And of course the food was delicious!! We got so many complements and people were keen to get seconds. 100% recommend anyone going with Eat Street for their wedding catering. (Have attached photos of the Asian-inspired desserts, although unfortunately we did not get any pics of the mains or...
