Update: the pub has now reopened, and is the same familiar bastion to local tipplers that it used to be. Now under the stewardship of Bea, she has plans for regular music and social activities. Excellent news! sad to confirm that the last town centre pub in East Cowes has indeed recently shut. With the recent loss of the Victoria Tavern, and the White Hart before that - a real tragedy and a loss for East Cowes... Maybe someone can be found to re-establish this quirky and always fun watering hole, like the ale house in Cowes..

Outstanding bar. Locals and staff were so friendly at the end of the Festival. Spent three hours there and loved every second. Best three hours on the island. Great landlady, bar staff and locals. Some good cask beer. Look forward to hopefully coming back next year.

Very nice small pub, great history of cask beers and It's in the 2022 good beer guide, reasonably loud music which was to my taste so not a distraction for me. And prices EXCELLENT!

Outstanding bar. Locals and staff were so friendly at the end of the Festival. Spent three hours there and loved every second. Best three hours on the island. Great landlady, bar staff and locals. Some good cask beer. Look forward to hopefully coming back next year.

Very nice small pub, great history of cask beers and It's in the 2022 good beer guide, reasonably loud music which was to my taste so not a distraction for me. And prices EXCELLENT!

A great little bar in East Cows whete the beers is kept to a very high standard. The Landlady is very friendly and helpful genuinely happy to help you. The price of beer is very reasonable for the island. If your waiting for your ferry you can't do much better than popping in here. If your an arty type then thete is some great pictures for sale displayed on the wallls. The pub also has a small sitting area outside. The pub is open 12:00 to...

My favourite pub in East Cowes by far, Bea is the best thing to happen to this place. Always a great atmosphere, I'd recommend it if you're on your own and fancy a chat. Good beer selection, well priced spirits and a nice selection of bar snacks. If I had one wish I wonder if maybe on a weekend and maybe in high season if we could have cheese and onion rolls or similar, maybe a decent pork pie if the rolls...
