Possibly the Best Breakfast on the Island

Absolutely fantastic little gem in East Cowes! Artisan Café delivers everything you could hope for in a proper breakfast spot — top-notch food and the kind of service that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit.

The staff are incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly — nothing feels rushed or transactional. It’s clear they care about what they do, and it really shows in the atmosphere and how they treat customers.

As for the food — hands down, possibly the best breakfast on the Isle of Wight. Everything was cooked to perfection, with real attention to quality ingredients. Whether you're after a full English, a veggie option, or something a bit more artisan (no pun intended), they’ve nailed it.

A brilliant start to the day, and a place I’ll be recommending to anyone crossing the Solent. Don’t miss it if you’re...

It is a wonderful restaurant/cafe with lovely staff and amazing food. Can't say I like their taste in music which was a little loud for me and not having table umbrellas atm as they are replacing the old ones, - glorious blazing hot sun, so we couldn't escapethe noise! It's a really busy cafe which says a lot. Please remember to say no to margarine in your artisan bacon cobs etc if you don't like margarine, as you have to request this! The food is exceptional, very moreish and filling and well crafted. They home bake their bread which is truly delicious. Not your usual run of the mill bread but homemade sour dough - yummy. There is a lot of seating, as they have expanded through, and the decor is eye-catching. It may be a little tight for a wheelchair but I'm not too sure about this. Well-behaved dogs are welcome which is great. Really love this restaurant/cafe and...

What a find. We were returning to the mainland from the Isle of Wight. As we had arrived early we parked on the main road in to East Cowes to have a coffee. Walking down the road, we spotted the cafe. It is situated in a little lay by with a couple of other shops and car sales outlet. There are table and chairs outside, aswell as inside. It was a good menu for such a small cafe, but sadly we only wanted a coffee. The cakes looked delicious and they offered Gluten Free options too. The coffees were gorgeous and a good price, too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place itself was clean and tidy, very quirky in design, but it added to its charm. The toilets were very clean, too. We will definitely return next time we are in the island and have food, as well...

Real proper coffee, not simply like a chain coffee house. And your chance to support a proper local coffee shop. I came here when waiting for the ferry as wanted to find a proper coffee. I wasn't disappointed and was worth a few minutes walk up from the ferry terminal. Beautiful interior with real plants. Yes, real plants! The cakes and sweet treats looked amazing too, one of the people there does them, and I found out the boss looks after the indoor plants. They have a big long table in one half of the shop and are trying to get more people to share a table together. Neat. But, if you don't like that idea there are individual tables. Simply Fantastic.

What a stunning little cafe. My wife and I only spotted this a couple of days ago and thought we should check it out. It's a small local business that offers incredible food at a great price. I had the Irish breakfast, and my wife had the Polish sausage special. Both were stunning. They were beautifully presented and tasted incredible. The beans were homemade, not your generic baked beans from a tin but made with mixed beans and chopped tomatoes and their own sauce. It added a uniqueness to the breakfast that we have not experienced before. It was a joy to be there. The team was super upbeat and happy and was genuinely friendly towards their customers.
