Seaford Head West — Local services in Lewes

A very nice place to take a walk along the seafront i was lucky enough to seen a Seal on the beach it was a elderly Seal resting on the seashore i took some videos for all to see 🦭 there is also a mum and pup that regularly come up on the beach aswell. If you enjoy bird watching walking up on the cliff is where most people go for birdwatching or if you like hiking once again there is a track heading up and along the cliff top the beach is a good location for sea fishing 🐟 and swimming unfortunately the hiking trail isn't disabled friendly but all along the seafront is disabled friendly with plenty of parking and seating available over looking the sea there are public toilets 🚻 available. Walking up and along the cliff path from Splash Point and along Seaford Head towards Hope Gap where you will get to see a beautiful panoramic view of the Seven Sisters Cliffs and the Cuckmere River Estuary. Continue to follow the cliff path from Hope Gap over to the Cuckmere Valley and you will see the Oxbow Lakes meandering along side the Cuckmere River. At low tide it is possible to actually cross the Cuckmere River at its Estuary with the water running on average about knee high in some places. We spent the day on the pebbled beach. It is a beautiful area and we were close to the coastal footpath. Parking was plentiful and it was free of charge. My only concern is the public toilets, they are old, filthy dirty and in all honesty they are disgusting. The local council urgently needs to do something about the toilets, the only option in reality is to demolish the toilet block and completely replace them.
