Be prepared to not be admitted to your flight if you arrive early. Aer Lingus operates their airline in the stone ages.
We arrived 3 hours and a few minutes before our international flight and were told to get out of line and stand to the side to wait 9 minutes. They can’t take our bag.. for 9 minutes…. As if that made ANY difference
How ridiculous, you should permit guests to drop their bag before their flight. Being told to wait 9 minutes by the gentleman and staff pictured is ridiculous. We arrived and there was no line, but many passengers just like us were told to wait to the side. It created a long line.
Aer Lingus please only respond once you have corrected the problem and retrained staff. Otherwise your response is pointless. Do you think 9 minutes is necessary to wait?how can you justify this… would a reasonable person turn down someone who arrived 3 hours and 1 minute before their flight? This staff in Heathrow would make guests wait. This is not how you treat paying...
Read moreUpdate: 2025, the lounge is now cooler after a refurb. However the boarding process after the lounge now often involves being taken through the boarding pass scan and then kettled into the space before the security doors to the escalator and the held on the air bridge before the plane. It may have a process purpose but for customer experience it is utter rubbish. Do better Aer Lingus.
It is not a great lounge, as Airport lounges go. Compared to BA lounges in T5 and T3 it is much less delightful. It gets super warm in here, uncomfortably so. Food and drink choices are limited. Very open plan, very little privacy and the chairs are not that comfortable. When fuller it can be noisy, if there are noisy people in the lounge e.g., outside voice on a mobile phone it is not great. There are toilets and they are clean with lovely Voya products. The heat though is the biggest pain point for me. The team members are always friendly and service from...
Read moreWorst lounge I've ever been in. I'm sitting in the lounge right now and to say I am shocked that they are charging €30 for this service is an understatement. Not only is there no hot food available. There is basically no food at all. A few cubes of cheese and crackers. A few biscuits. No way is this worth charging €30 for. No sandwiches even available. No crisps no fruit. Just soft drinks and alcohol.
Also when i entered the lounge there was no one sitting at the reception so I was left wondering if it was even open. After a few minutes the receptionist showed up and when I queried the food situation I was told I can go out into the airport and bring food back in if I wished to. So not only have I spent €30 in order to access the lounge, I now have to go out and spend more money to get the service that should be provided by Aer Lingus. Very disappointing.
I would avoid this lounge if you have any dietary restrictions or...
