Canada Water — Local services in London

This review is about the general customer service that I received on the 25th of July. After having spent a big amount of money on purchasing a monthly travelcard I accidentally dropped it before getting on the train. Two tickets inspector fined me £80 despite explaining the situation and showing proof of purchase and oyster ID. These same inspectors also assured me that I could use that fine to reach my destination without problem but as I went back to canada water to find my oyster and tried to go through the barriers shortly after I was met by a man who told me that I had to purchase ANOTHER travelcard and for that spend more money. I explained once more the situation and I was met with comments such as “you have to be responsable for your mistakes” and he even tried to take away my receipt that was the only proof I had. On top of this I had just enought money to pay for my cats operation so I was left with having to borrow money and arrive late to the vet appoinment....

Canada Water Station is served by the Jubilee and Windrush lines this station has three entrances that will take you in to the main ticket hall area. Inside the ticket hall area is a cash machines photo booth and coffee shop the ticket hall area is large and wide with lots of room and plenty of ticket barriers to use. This station is very busy a lot of times and especially with passengers interchanging on to the Jubilee line from the Windrush line. Also interchanging from Platform 4 to the Jubilee line is a complete nightmare there is only one escalators that goes down and you have over 80 passengers trying to get down that way. The Windrush line platforms have short platforms so the last set of doors wont open here. The station has lifts from the entrance and to the platforms. Sometimes the station can be untidy and other days the station is clean so it's mixed outside Canada Water Station is the bus station with a number...

A Letter of Appreciation for Mukhtar

To Whom It May Concern,

My partner and I traveled from Kent to London today, only to have our train unexpectedly canceled. What should have been a straightforward journey to London Bridge turned into confusion when Trainline rerouted us to Canada Water via Overground. Lost and unsure how to proceed, we were fortunate to encounter Mukhtar, a staff member at Canada Water station.

Mukhtar was exceptionally attentive—he listened carefully, fully understood our situation, and provided clear, patient guidance. His kindness and professionalism turned a stressful moment into a reassuring one. Before we left, he even wished us well for the rest of our journey and our lives. (And might I add—he’s tall, handsome, and wonderfully kind!)
