I just want to say a huge thank you to Goode Flowers. I spent all of Thurs getting soaked in the rain looking for good quality silk flowers. Two major dept stores let me down before I found this magical shop on Google. Staff were so friendly and listened attentively to my requirements. I wanted the flowers for a dear relation who is at end of life. She had a Living Wake yesterday and I wanted her to have some joyous pink flowers (her fave colour) to look at in her final days. I could not bear to buy her flowers that would die. These flowers will live forever like her amazing spirit. I bought a stunning posy full of all manner of flowers & they even added extra in favourite deep pink & bow to match. Everyone who saw them thought they were real, they looked magnificent! I can thoroughly recommend this shop, all the real flowers were gorgeous too & the shop itself is quite a destination. All in all a 5*+ experience & I will go straight there next time. Extortionate and exploitative. I popped in to buy a birthday bouquet at the last minute but only when later showing friends what I’d bought and for how much, did I realise the mug I’d been. I’ve never bought flowers from an independent florists before, so didn’t really know what I was doing. Seems they saw me coming and I got thoroughly ripped off. The staff showed me a bouquet and told me it was £80. As it was obvious I was out of my depth, they offered to make something up for £35. I guess I was too embarrassed to leave so it’s on me. But I was later told that 7 flower stems with some cursory foliage for £35 was daylight robbery. Yep. That’s a fiver a flower. Perhaps I’m naive. They lasted 3 days in a vase. Long overdue review: From the moment you walk into Goode Flowers shop, you can see and feel that this is the environment of a truly creative person. It’s rich yet well balanced. It took me only a minute to explain the intent and tone I wanted to convey—simple and elegant with the right message. With everything at his disposal, the master florist shared his simple idea.
