Hiland Play — Local services in London

My 3 and a half year old loved his hour long session here. At first I wondered if there would be enough there to entertain him but as he played I realised how well the design has been thought through. The merry-go-round is so cute and he was so excited by it because he’s still too small to go on a real one. The ball pit is very satisfying because it is so deep, and then the tubes that blow the balls up and around, with a lever you can pull to tip a bucket of them down lots of trap-doors was sooo cool. I haven’t seen something like that before in London. He was giggling whilst playing with this for about 20 minutes. The rocking horse bouncy swings on the top level are sooo perfect for a sensory seeker like my son. They are really well designed. Again, he was giggling on one of these for about 15 minutes. Then the slide is really exciting but not too big or fast. And I like that they have carefully thought-out safety rules. The family running the place seem to know very well how to look after small children safely. They told me a child in the family helped design the different features of the soft-play. The “sand” pit is genius too! Again, another brilliant idea for sensory seekers. One thing to note - there is no toilet so bring a porta-potty if you have one. The starbucks opposite requires you to buy something before you can use their toilet. Oh and also, they ask the children to wear grippy socks, so if you already have some at home then bring them along to save yourself the £3 cost of...

We’ve been here today with my 2.5 yo and my 12 months old. When it first opened I was really surprised about the overprice for 60 mins (considering the area) but i decided to give it a go now that there is a Christmas offer on and you can stay for 90 mins for the same price.

I wouldn’t recommend this soft play. First they ask under 2s to pay 8£ and then there is very little to do for kids this age group: They are not allowed on the slides, they are not allowed in the “sandpit” aerea, they are not allowed on the horse roundabout and the ball pit is way too deep, my baby was crying as she felt like she was drowning in the balls. After about 40 mins my 2.5yo got bored (apart from the slides there is not much else to do!). The cherry on the cake is that there are no toilets and no heating, it was freezing cold and my oldest at some point t she walk to the owner and bluntly said “I am cold”, they looked at me and asked me if she has a jacket. Other kids were already in the soft play wearing their coat. Baby changing facility in the middle of the soft play but again, with no heating I would not like to change my baby in the cold… overall very poor experience and I don’t think we will go back unless reduced price for the over 2s, under 2s for free and proper toilet facilities...

A cute little softplay located in East Ham. My son loved the air ball tubes, small horse roundabout and ‘construction area’. I loved the colour scheme & ball pit was so deep! They also have a small play frame. Prebook online & pay once you arrive.

Sessions are 1 hour long but personally, I feel like 1 hour for softplay is far too short especially for £10 during weekdays and £12 for weekends. Bring any grip socks or else you’ll have to purchase it from them.
