Hyderabad Wala — Restaurant in London

Wouldn't even give them one star. Ordered, given a time slot, food didn't arrive gave them 15mins still didn't arrive, called, told it was out for delivery waited another 20mins still no delivery. I called again and guess what?... They didn't answer my call! (they have your number so when you call they know who it is). Tried calling with my child's phone but again they didn't answer, I forgot we had ordered with that number a few times too. So I tried another number one they definitely didn't have and behold they picked up but soon as they knew I was on the phone put it down (the disrespect). I had to go there, close to 2 hours no delivery. They made all the excuses under the sun eg. The till person has gone to the other branch, we made it an hour ago it was sent out, we only work at the back ect ... Now getting nowhere, 2 and 1/2 hour gone by (since food should have been delivered) and no closer to getting an answer and no food, I demanded a refund, then they called the boss on the phone who said they would refund me by tomorrow (what! With all the lies, wasn't having it) told them they lost my trust after multiple lies and I wanted my money in cash. And without clearing it with the supposed 'boss' (rather interesting don't you think!) gave me my money. All this could have been avoided if they just said: sorry we missed your order would you like us to still deliver or would you like us to refund you and next time you order we will give you a complementary dish for our negligence (something along these lines). We wanted to order food for a small gathering of 20 peoplepost lockdown and were looking for good Indian catering services. One of my friendshas suggested trying Hyderabad Wala. Since I have never heard of thisrestaurant decided to look at the reviews on google and was confused as thereare quite a few bad ratings. Hence, we have decided to visit the restaurant totaste the food and then decide on the catering for the party.

To our surprise, the ambiance of the restaurant has been great,and the staff has been very courteous with the guests. Since it was a weekdaynight the restaurant was not full, but they have been busy with Takeaways. Thefood was served within 20 mins after placing the order. Most of the food was servedin Copper dishes which gave an authentic Indian feeling. The food is very tastyand well-balanced in terms of flavors. For an Indian pallet, you can ask the chefto add more spice or heat depending on your requirements. After tasting the food,we have decided to place the order then and there. Since the owner was not aroundwhen we visited, the head chef had spent good 20 mins to decide the menu and providedhis inputs to finalize the catering menu.

On the day of the party, food was delivered on time aspromised by them even though my place is an hour away from the restaurant. Allthe guests have enjoyed the food and the quantity of service and food was good.Overall, we are very satisfied with the experience,

Worst Catering Experience of My Life – Ruined My Wedding

I booked Hyderabad Wala to cater my wedding, and it was the worst decision I could have made. What we experienced was NOTHING like the tasting we paid for. • Food Quality: Completely inedible. Everything was far too spicy — even adults struggled, and children were left without food entirely. This was not what we agreed to at the tasting. • Staffing & Service: They sent only 2 servers for 120 guests. The servers arrived late, with no food, no proper tablecloths (they brought birthday party tablecloths), and no dinner plates — even though we had paid for them. Guests had to eat off charger plates. • Logistics: Instead of using the catering kitchen on-site, the servers drove back and forth to the restaurant (20 minutes each way!) to collect food. This meant food was served 90 minutes late, throwing the whole schedule off. • Drinks: Juices at cocktail hour were undiluted, making them undrinkable. • Workload Dumped on Guests: My family and friends had to set the tables, serve food, and clean up because the catering staff provided no real service. Guests were even covered in food because they were doing the staff’s job. • Aftermath: They have ignored all our calls and messages, and have refused to offer compensation despite photo and video proof showing no service was provided.

Hyderabad Wala’s negligence and unprofessionalism ruined my wedding day. I would never recommend them to anyone...
