My first time experiencing Kambo, it was amazing! Everything about the ceremony ran like a well oiled machine, the facilitators were incredibly supportive, friendly, and gave extremely clear instructions about what to expect, as well as how to deal with the varying situations that may arise during ceremony.

Each medicine we used in ceremony was treated with a lot of respect and administered with much care, all having a very powerful effect mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

The first medicine we used was Rapé the Amazonian snuff, it works very well clearing the sinuses, grounding, and also gives a blissful/meditative state of mind. After using the Rapé we sat and followed Jon in a beautiful guided meditation, the perfect way to create the right state of mind for what was next.

The next medicine was Kambo, to apply this, incense was used to burn into the flesh, then saliva was mixed with the Kambo and applied as a paste to the burn marks. The effects of the medicine were noticeable immediately, a stinging sensation in the arm (where the burn marks were) and then heat and tingling throughout the body. The effects were somewhat different to what I was expecting, as i did not feel any nausea and it was rather peaceful, feeling a state of connection and grounding at the same time.

The last medicine was Sananga - Amazonian eye drops. This was the most uncomfortable part of the ceremony for me, burning pain which luckily only lasted a minute or two. Even so, the effects afterwards have definitely been worth it, sharper eyesight and much more vivid colours!

The music in ceremony was also a lovely addition, Jon's Didgeridoo and the singing bowls that were used, along with the backing music really added positively to the energy within the room and aided in creating a very sacred and safe space - perfect for anyone experiencing this medicine for the first time.

Overall it was a great introduction to Kambo, the benefits I have felt during and after the ceremony I am sure will continue for a long time! I feel very blessed to have participated in this ceremony and be able to have access to these ancient sacred medicines.

I went to the Enchanted Forest retreat in June 2024 and cannot speak highly enough about the experience.

The place was very spacious, clean and well equipped with spectacular views of the lake and a gorgeous sauna. The food was in abundance, both in how much there was for us to enjoy and the delicious flavours. I loved the touch of a hairdryer and straighteners in my bathroom, and there was plenty of bed linen/towels.

Now for the good stuff 😉 The ceremonies were truly healing and transformative. The setting was calming, informal and supportive. I felt completely safe and guided by Jon. He leads with integrity, compassion and anchors us all with his profound grounding. Everything from the kambo, medicine ceremonies, the gong bath, fire rituals and sauna rituals were well thought through. Perfectly executed by Jon’s outstanding team who come together seamlessly to make the magic happen ✨

I was at Planet Kambo’s enchanted forest retreat in Lithuania in March 2024. What an amazing experience that was, from the location to the people. Being situated in the middle of a national park in front of the lake was truly magical.

The stillness of the location is what makes you sit up and take notice. Jon & team were amazing at organising the various activities like the traditional sauna session with a sauna master and sound healing session. The forest walk with local ranger was also very informative.

The accommodation was comfortable and clean. Food was high quality and freshly cooked.

This was my first retreat and went in not knowing what to expect. Jon & team made sure I felt safe and comfortable. The retreat gave me a chance to slow down from the grind and hectic of the real world and helped me to remind what was important to me.
