Wow, wow, wow, I actually can’t find the words to describe Simon Drake’s House of Magic 🪄

As a firm lover of anything magic, esoteric, the occult, alternative scenes, I felt right at home. The venue itself is beautiful and feels like such a special retreat away from London, it feels like you’ve stepped into a scene from a movie or whimsical dream.

Each and every Team Member, the doorman, bar staff, catering staff, close-up Magicians, warm-up act, hosts, tour guides and of course Simon were all so kind and welcoming. You felt like you were getting a glimpse into their family and it was so evident the amount of care and attention that these people put into their craft, their passion for this scene is so evident and it shone through.

As for the show ~ I won’t give any spoilers but I genuinely couldn’t remember the last time I laughed or smiled that hard, my face hurt in the best of ways! I couldn’t figure out how anything at all was done and felt like a child again, it was just what I needed, a true step away from adult life for an evening.

The original purpose of our visit was for my Fiancé and I to see the House and see if we would like to consider getting married there. In an exact tale of events, I stepped into the entryway of the garden and turned to my Fiancé and said that we have to get married here, it just captured what we were looking for perfectly, and I said this before even seeing the inside of the House or the show!

What an amazing night. I was amazed by the building and all the effort that had gone into every area of venue.

The staff and performers were incredible, I will not reveal any spoilers but we were kept entertained the whole night.

The food was extremely good and the drinks priced very well.

I would highly highly recommend this to anyone looking for fun and magical night. I will definitely be coming back and can’t wait to bring some more friends and family with me for some great memories.
