Where shall I start smh.

I attended a wedding last weekend and the food that I was served was bland, cold and most of it was UNEDABLE! Before we was served our food we was shown a flimsy piece of paper and asked by the waiter what we would like to eat. I thought fine. When the food finally got brought to me I notice immediately that my plate was FULL of rice with no gravy, bearing in mind curry goat should have gravy surrounding it. What I was presented with was bits of goat meat that looked like it was just cooked and put onto my plate. The rice was bland and didn’t taste like they cooked it with an ounce of salt. The macaroni & cheese was absolutely disgusting! It was simply boiled pasta with like a white melted cheese sauce poured ontop 🤦🏽‍♀️ (as a black caterer why would you cook Mac cheese like this?) it wasn’t even baked!! The tuna pasta was also disgusting. It was like tuna flakes taken straight from a can and sprinkled over the pasta! There was no sign of mayonnaise mixed into it, no nothing! The only thing on my plate that was ok was the coleslaw. Everything else got scraped to 1 side & thrown straight into the bin!

I really couldn’t believe the standard of the food that was being served. Please see my photos attached to this review.

Later on in the evening I was feeling a bit more hopeful when I heard there was buffet food being served. When I received the container of food, I couldn’t even work out what was in front of me until I tasted it. It was meant to be pieces of escovitch fish with white rice. What I got was bits of hard, cold batter that had a slight escovitch taste followed by cold rice once AGAIN! SMH. I was really disappointed by the food & again I threw my food into the bin.

Stacey’s kitchen LTD was not upto standard to be catering at ALL for anyone’s event. This has to be the worst wedding food I have EVER eaten. Not only was the food bad but the level of service that was provided by her catering staff. Some of them were very rude and they were also arguing amongst themselves in the kitchen area, which was totally unprofessional. They were disorganised and didn’t have bring any facilities to keep the food warm or heat up the food that was being served to the wedding guest (shocking!). Some peoples orders were forgotten about and I witness 1 guest bringing in a large pizzia that they ordered from outside to feed their child 🤦🏽‍♀️. Some guest orders were forgotten!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Stacey’s kitchen LTD catering service to anyone. The food was appalling. At one point I had to ask if the food was home made or caterers actually cooked the food because it was that bad. I’m actually quite shocked how this catering service has such a high rating because her food is AWFUL. Not even the desserts they could get right with cold custerd being served in mini pots with cake underneath 🥴.

The Rum punch was also very bad. The sip that I had was enough for me to put my cup down. Whatever rum that was used in the punch definitely wasn’t Wray & Nephew and had to much rum in it which over powered the fruity taste that it should have had, whilst being a slow creeper.

I recommend that the bride & groom try and get some sort of compensation back for the failing of the food on the day.

This really let the beautiful wedding down on the day.

In response to Stacey’s reply of my review. I can clearly see that you have taken no accountability for the food that was cooked on day and diverted everything that was not done by your catering company.

Whilst I appreciate you taking the time to clarify the details, my review was based on my experience as a guest at the event, and I shared my observations honestly. I understand that there may have been some misunderstandings about the responsibilities of the different parties involved in the catering BUT for the MAIN part of the catering this was done by your catering company STACEYS KITCHEN LTD!

I hope improvements can be made...

I was at wedding on Saturday the 24th of August 2024. It was awonderful, blessed and lovely turn out for the bride and groom. It rain a lot but that didn't stop the people from attending in style and numbers. The hall for the reception was beautifully decorated. Then it comes to the time for the serving of the food. The MC announced that the head tablets and family should be served first then followed by the rest of audience. I saw the catering staff going around with leaflets taking up orders. Know one came to the family that I was sitting several times I was asked if anyone take order from us at the table. After along wait someone came with a piece of paper collecting the order for the food. I ordered vegetables, fish,rice and peas. I was sitting beside mama she got served first everyone else was still waiting one of the family members got and went to the kitchen to get some food. I looked at mama she was not eating in which she loved curry goat , she did not eat it. Looking at the presentation it turned your stomach upside down. Then came my turn I given a plate vegetables and a piece of fillet, so I then to the staff where is the rice and peas she too the plate and put the rice on it I was very hungry I started eating. The food was cold, tasteless,dry and disgusting. I asked for fish and I got a touch piece of white chicken with I don't know what was on. What if I was allergic to chicken you know what could have happened to me. Not to mention the chicken and rice was very tough. A lot of people had food left on their plate. There were know drinks on the tables, they were only wine glasses and open jars of water know cover on the jars. People were queueing up for food at the kitchen as they were in the supermarket. It is my first time being to any functions with such a disgusting food preparation and presentation. She should be ashamed to be talking about the bride, mom 👩 and uncle they did not organise your artificial tasteless and disgusting food 😒. You should have stepped out and apologise for your own fault and reimburse the family of all the disappointment you caused. My dear you are not ready for this kind of business yet. Nevertheless your behaviour is rotten. You know you could not manage such a big wedding day why not say so. What were you thinking you were cooking for house hold of six. Tough luck you said you were told to prepare for 170 but if you know what you were doing it would not work out like that. Jesus's fed 500 people with one loaf of bread so should know how to handle the situation. You are like the online scammers don't take up what you can't manage. You can talk over the situation and stop behaving like a bully. You just start and you don't know anything about proper cooking of Jamaican food. Stop bring down ...

I attended my father-in-laws funeral where Stacy’s Kitchen was hired as the caterer. The caterer arrived late, the food was served lukewarm, and the servers were unable to fulfil their duties so family members stepped in to help. Our family is incredibly disappointed in the service on the day, however it is the lack of follow up from Stacy after an already difficult day that is completely unacceptable. The only thing our family is looking for is an explanation as to why things went so horribly wrong, and why there was a clear lack of empathy and compassion in Stacy’s response, given she was communicating with a widowed and bereaved woman.

As a follow up the owner has deleted our reviews on Facebook and Instagram. I would highly recommend avoiding this caterer.

Another follow up Stacy phoned my Mother in Law screaming and swearing at her for because i posted this review. Keep in mind my MIL is grieving the loss of her husband...
