Sleeping on a tempur mattress has taken over and ruined my life in the last 8 months. Sadly the quality of the memory foam seems to degrade after the 1.5 year mark. Their firmest model - sensation elite - has become so soft our entire bodies are sinking in. You no longer can move around on one side without the other person feeling it. This isn’t the case at the store with display mattresses. The same model at the showroom is so firm compared to what has happened to mine. Myself and my partner are both fit young people. I workout, in addition to Pilates and yoga. My posture is better than average. For the last 8 months of my life I’ve been in AGONY. Back pain, rib pain, chest pain, diaphragm pain, even hip pain. I’ve been to countless doctors, physios and no one can find an issue with me. We’ve done rehab. We’ve done blood work, CT scans and MRI’s. Nobody wanted to believe that so much bodily pain and at this point emotional pain - from lack of sleep, could be caused by an expensive tempur mattress. However the pain only persists during sleep and upon waking. The affected areas are stiff, misaligned and enflamed. I’ve finally went to sleep in a hotel for a week, to see if this could be the bane of all my problems, and after a few short sleeps I was back to myself again. Sleeping on a tempur has been hell, tempur of course won’t validate the warranty as there are no visible dents in the mattress. The dents only form during sleep. Once again, it seems the material simply melts and sinks in TOO much, more than upon the first year of purchase causing your body to strain or worse. To add, I have tried numerous sleeping positions, pillows for support even a pregnancy pillow, none of this can help with so much of your body sinking into the mattress and misaligning your spine. Please read reviews before purchasing this torture chamber machine. Read moreI bought a pillow on the 25th of August and I've being advised that I have 14 days for exchange only and NO returns. I said ok, i will spend £89 for a pillow but at least if it doesn't suit me I can exchange it for another one. Two days later I went back and they exchange it with another one without a fuss. But again i found the next pillow to be not a satisfactory for my shoulders and thought well I am still on the 14 days and so I can exchange for another and they turn up to let me know that this is only for 1 exchange. This is not written nowhere on the receipt or on their policy. So I am now with a -£89 and a spare pillow that I cannot use because they did not want to. Make sure you choose the right pillow from the beggining if you are lucky enough. Otherwise they only care about profits and not customer satisfaction. Stick to amazon or other retailers that are happy to do even a refund if you are not happy with their product....
Read moreAWFUL Experience. After researching online and talking to an online agent on Tempur's website advised going into the store to try the mattresses. I visited the store on the 3rd of September at 13:15; there were 3 staff members none of them acknowledged us when we entered the store, all watching a loud video and swearing. Finally, one of them decided to ask if we needed help (half-heartedly, as he clearly wanted to go back to his video). Wasn't able to answer my questions correctly and wasn't bothered answering them either. 3 of them all decided to go to the back room to keep laughing. Selling a mattress for 4k implies it is a luxury end of the spectrum but this attitude wouldn't be tolerated in any other luxury brands' stores.
