Hi all, I've been to Avondale Park, a nice place where to take children, dogs or go for walks in peace, the park is not very big so rather than walks, you can sit quietly and enjoy the joyful cries of the children who always put cheer, there are some very nice new picnic tables, there is also another large area that they are renovating and also inserting new games for children. There are both games for small children and older children. I see people reading books, chatting, eating a snack sitting on the table, there is also a small street with relaxing benches looking towards the sports fields. Looking forward to...

Avondale Park is a super little park, great for younger kids. There are two playgrounds - an enclosed one for younger kids I would say up to about 4 years old and another play area for older kids. The facilities are great with jungle gyms, slides, climbing frames, etc. Enough to keep kids entertained for a good length of time.

There is also a little covered snack kiosk serving light snacks, drinks and ice creams with a seated area.

There are two tennis courts as well, often with tennis lessons going on, specifically for kids.

An all round great park and a nice little oasis in...

A park that truly serves all of the community. Purpose built sports courts are used by the young (and the not so young) by individuals, teams and schools, it welcomes the local dogs with their owners while still being a child safe and child friendly local amenity. There's a kiosk selling drinks and ice-cream and a seating area where children's birthday parties are often held and friendly personal trainers use it on a daily basis. Even with everyone doing their own thing in the park it keeps its deep sense of community and togetherness. It's...

One of the features of parks in Chelsea and Kensington is that almost all of them are... private. For example, only community members (who have keys) can open the gates and come in to most of green zones next to Notting Hill. But Avondale Park is open for public, with huge playground for under 5's (including sandpit) and different play equipment for older kids. Just 10 minutes of walk either from Notting Hill or from Holland Park Underground Station. Lovely place to visit on sunny day ;)

Attractive “pocket-park” with a spread of sport amenities and playgrounds, lawns, a wild-life area and toilets. Mature trees, formal bedding and high level of maintenance reinforce the distinctive ambiance evident here. Located on the former “Piggeries and Potteries” - slurry fields and opened as a park in 1892.
