I wish I could comment on the quality of the earrings but unfortunately the complete unwelcome energy from one of their staff left me feeling so uncomfortable as a person of colour.

I was walking around and there was such a lovely selection of earrings suited to my sensitive ears. I noticed one of your employees looking at me and glowering as I walked around (there were others in the shop in other areas but the gaze was on me). When I went to the back towards a few pairs that I had wanted to get the employee suddenly felt the need to go to the back and "fiddle" with earrings. They moved with each moment I made and trailed after me. They didn't feel the need to do so when others were at that back area. I've had enough employees stalk after me as a person of colour to know the signs of it. I was immediately put off and didn't want to give money to people who have made me feel like this.

It was uncomfortable to be treated like that and it's left a sour taste in my mouth. I would think in what's meant to be a safe and accepting place for the minorities in society like Affleck's this wouldn't happen especially in 2023 but I've been proved wrong. I kept getting ads for your fun earrings on social media and that's what made me download the app , and I'm really glad I did. I try to only wear stainless steel because I'm hard on jewellery, especially rings - and the range here in materials is beautiful with so many stainless options! I ordered two rings - both are well cut, with no rough or uncomfortable edges, beautiful designs, really comfy to wear and so far they wear really well. I also ordered earrings - which are cute and simple, solid with secure hinges and again, so comfy to wear. Delivery was so quick - I ordered on Friday morning and was lucky enough to receive it at lunchtime on Saturday - and everything was packaged beautifully, I loved the wrapping paper and heart stickers! This used to be my favourite shop in Manchester and I looked forward to visiting it every time I’m there. However, this time I found the staff very rude. I accidentally dropped an earring (accidents happen, and it also didn’t break) and the staff member behind the till came running over and was very rude. I apologised to her for dropping it and she was still very standoffish. My friend and I felt as if she had been watching us the whole time and we no longer felt welcome in the shop.
