Initially went for a coffee, but ended up staying for the afternoon. They were offering a reduced menu of pizza and nachos because of lockdown. Pizzas were between £8 and £12, you could get half pizzas too, but they're big enough. We got a few halves so we could try different flavours. Fast service and very tasty. Staff were being Covid vigilant and sticking to the rules re. eating and alcohol, masks were worn by staff at all times and customers when moving away from their table, temps and track and trace. They'd decorated it for Halloween and were playing spooky but cool tunes, which was lovely. I hope the place stays open and the staff get to keep their jobs. Thanks for a pleasant, safe afternoon during such a fun-sucking time.

Went to see Ben Ottlewell of Gomez, when we walked in the venue look amazing, very intermit Unfortunately even though we had paid for our tickets nobody checked them and about halfway through the gig you could not hear Bens music and singing due to people chatting and laughing. People who obviously had no interest in seeing him and who had obviously not paid to be there. An amazing evening spoilt by the staff who also appeared not to care about the people who had paid or the internationaly world recognised singer who was performing at there venue. Definitely see Ben again but not at this venue!

We visited as part of the Beyond The Music festival. Acoustics are pretty decent given the awkward long-and-thin shape of the venue and pillars that block the view. There’s stage height is good for a small venue, and probably a necessity given the room shape to allow those at the back to see the acts. There’s some bench seating at the edges and then full seating at the bar/cafe behind. Drinks are reasonable, and the atmosphere is decent resulting in a space that’s great both in the day and night

I'm a little stuck in 2 minds about my review of Night and Day as I've had 2 completely different experiences here so I've had to go with the average(which should be 2.5 stars).

As a music venue I had an absolutely great time. Up and coming bands being made readily accessible with cheap entrance fees and decent music pumped out on the stereo when there's no one up on stage. Some of the bands who have played here have gone on to be massive so you could well catch the next big thing here in a tiny room.

Sadly this was all let down on my last visit when I was slightly delicate on a Sunday afternoon and needed to grab some food before the train. I tried to order some food but was told that they were only serving the breakfast menu. This would have been fair enough if it meant that they were going to be churning out plate after plate of tasty breakfast food. What I was actually served was quite possibly the worst breakfast I have ever paid for. £6.50 for one slice of toast, 2 overcooked poached eggs, some terrible boiled ham (I'm loathe to call it bacon) and some split hollandaise is not a great deal. I'd love to say that the other guys I was with had a much better experience but sadly not.

If you are after an evening of entertainment definitely check this place out but just make sure that you've...

Oh my f!&$ing god!!!! I cant even!!!!! I cant bloody EVEN!!!!! WHAT AN UNIMAGINABLE EVENING!!!!!

Before I continue let me make one thing clear. I have been to many nights and many days. I don't want to claim to be an expert, but I am. It's a gift and a curse.

Finding a word to describe the sensation that was Night & Day is impossible. I swear down, I thesaurused every positive word in the dictionary and not one word came close to the full flesh experience that is Night & Day (in 3D). Yes, it's a bar. Yes, it has music. Yes it has appropriate restroom facilities. BUT! Nothing could prepare me for the majesty that is Night & Days very own Calā„¢.

Oh Calā„¢. If I could count the ways you move my soul, eternity would stand still to behold the moment. Never before has a man been so long and sexy. It is true that Calā„¢ is single handedly holding back the feminist movement as he is unfortunately proving that women can't compete with Calā„¢ in the workplace or anywhere else. I disagree. I say neither can men.

Anywhom. It is time I concluded. Calā„¢ is an unbelievable attribute to human kind, and I am greatfull I get to share the same airspace as him. To you Calā„¢ , and everything...

We had the worst experience at Night and Day and felt extremely rationally profiled. We are 4 female international students who were visiting Manchester from London and were denied entry at the door due to our BRP’s (biometric residence permits) not being recognised as a ā€œgovernment issued IDā€ - which they are. When we questioned the security he said any club or bar in Manchester would only accept a passport or driving licence, which is untrue as we walked into another bar 5 minutes later and had no problem. Keeping in mind we’ve been living in London for over 3 years and have never had issues and were completely sober during this interaction it was extremely surprising and as we were treated extremely rudely. He also mentioned that any venue accepting a BRP should not be allowed. This interaction would never let me recommend Night and Day cafe to anyone and it was quite disappointing to be treated with so much disrespect during the interaction. Please educate your bouncers on what ID’s they should...
