How dissapointing! It left me and husband angry and son dissapointed.
We promised our son a treat for doing his tests at school well today and he asked for Domino's pizza. The estimate delivery time was 18:45-19:05. At 18:46 I received a phone call from the driver asking me where by Travelodge we are. All puzzled I asked what he meant by Travelodge as we are on Shenley Lodge and Travelodge is on Shenley Church End. We are NOT on a new estate. Shenley Lodge was built 30 years ago. We have lived here since 2010 and we have never had any issues finding the address on ANY sat nav, so I really don't understand how the driver got so lost. I confirmed the address he had and it was all correct. He hung up and we continued waiting.......we finally heard him driving past our house at 19:16 and he couldn't find our number so my husband just walked down the road to call him so by the time we got the pizza it was 19:20 I really don't understand how it took the driver 30mins to drive from Travelodge to us when it takes 5mins at this time of the day :( When we opened the box, the pizza was lukewarm :( yuk! We are always ordering from this particular outlet and always it is having certain issues. This time even after explaining the entire order the order failed to arrive after a wait of one hour. We spoke to manager and he reassured us that he will dispatch the order soon. Again the order took half an hour and again they managed to sent an incomplete order. It is already a struggle for families to go and eat out in these testing times and Domino's should be well aware of it. It is the onus of the outlets to ensure that all the deliveries are error free and stick to the time limits and they should live upto the brand name. It is really an unpleasant experience that despite paying for the service the customers have to chase them and end up spoiling a lovely evening. I had asked for the discounts (Buy one get one free) and the details, the person had told me incorrectly what I had to get to get the deal. But because of the other pieces of my order, I thought that it was why my price was so low.
The price was so low not because of a deal, but because they didn't put through the other things I asked for (Garlic bread and dips) So after waiting 15 minutes for the pizza, I ask wheres the rest of my order. All I got was a quick apology and had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes for the rest.
Food was fine afterwards, no complaints there, just seems training on the deals that they offer could've...
