Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

Every now and then I pop in or drive through for a few burgers. Today 09/02/2025 decided to take a detour from work and pop in for just two burgers as they normally prepare them fast. First, there was no paper for receipts (can't prove my purchase) and then I was left waiting for 15 minutes. They served ALL orders after mine and when I was left last all the personal was gone somewhere to the back with the drive through clerk only left to serve. He said I'll have to wait more for my order and started looking for his colleagues. I refused to wait and just asked for a refund as I was now late for work and he refused to refund me suggesting I should take something else. I don't like confrontations and as it's just a £3.58 order just left without the food. I understand that mistakes happen, but declining to refund is simply shocking. The lady preparing the burgers was taking a long time and was walking around as if she doesn't want to be there. This looks extremely bad in front of clients waiting for their orders. She eventually brought one order and flagged three at the same time as being ready. I think she was the one that messed up but I couldn't speak to her anymore because she left as soon as she served the order.

2.I also had a difficulty ordering through the drive-thru recently. maybe they had a new girl that was having communication issues and got the order wrong twice.

I don't enjoy ordering inside or staying for longer because I get stenched...

When we visited there was only 4 other people in the restaurant. It was not busy, yet we had an absolute disaster with our food.

It was signalled as ready for collection from the counter 10 mins before it was ready - I understand it’s always a little behind but not to the point staff are telling people to take a seat because it’s going to be a long wait!

When our food was called only one of our 5 items was there. Then the team members bickered about the order in front of us saying that our order shouldn’t have been called because the item is for another order which hasn’t been called and also didn’t have all its items ready!

Finally they decided to give us the food they called and then located each other item we ordered and placed them on the counter individually for us to gather. As it was a take away order, I would have expected them to at least put it all in a bag rather than one bag for fries and everything else loose! If it had been one item, I would understand but expecting us to juggle all the item showed a lack of common sense and competence.

But don’t worry, because everything is made fresh to order so it must at least be good right? Wrong. Only our fries were edible, everything else was practically raw and even our bottle of coke tasted off (and when we checked it was past it’s best before!)

We didn’t bother going back to complain, if the team lacks the basic competence to pack the order I had no faith they would be able to resolve this. Would not recommend this branch to anyone - if you’re desperate for Tim Hortons go to the...
