There's a sign that reads "Some people say money can't buy happiness, but those people haven't been to MK1"
That aside, it's not too bad a place. There's a range of clothing shops for all but the biggest budgets, from Primark and New Look to M&S.
Once you've done your shopping, you can nip across the road (mind the cars....oh the cars...there's cars everywhere) and chose a selection of fastfood-ish outlets - Nandos sticks out - as does the queue on most days.
There's parking for an army - in case you ever forget you're in Milton Keynes, the sight of people driving 5 meters to the next shop will remind you - there are even free charging points for those in EV cars (only 2 mind).
The whole "Shopping park" is built around a white elephant of a football stadium (the football team loses on a weekly basis) but they could easily re-purpose some of the acres of concrete into green space and justify the use of the word "park" in the name - don't hold your breath for that.

Large stores such as Debenhams have gone, as have a lot of smaller stores because of high rental costs. There is a high turnover of seasonal shops (e.g. expensive toy shops that appear before Christmas). A lot of restaurants have closed.
I rarely visit the shopping centre now. I buy almost everything online - it's faster, cheaper, less stressful, there's far more choice and there's no chance of catching a cold or flu from...

We will choose an alternative location next year.
Disappointed we had to move around the area to alternate parking because we couldn't stay outside MK1 for long enough.
I get the restrictions on match days due to being right opposite the MK Dons stadium but not otherwise.
Definitely put us off.
The only difference is if you went to go to the cinema apparently there is a way of extending parking but only if you buy a...
