Today was our first visit to this Turkish restaurant! Since we frequently dine in various Turkish restaurants, we knew exactly what to order and was very quick about it! We ordered mixed grill platter for 2 and mixed hot maze platter and drinks ! The food arrived quickly, fresh and hot and taste was amazing !! I can honestly say that the food tasted better compared to some other places we’ve been ! The pricing is similar to most restaurants! Overall ambiance ok , clean tables and good dining experience ! The only down side is their customer service…. OMG … which was so creepy that I don’t know how I can go back there ! The waitress who took our order kept on walking by the table several times and looking at us/the food (honestly don’t know what was happening) and at least 3 times checking if everything was all right…. Which we understood was a sign about “tips” !!! What we did not expect is that she would be pretty insistent about it while paying the bills ! I won’t say she forced us to pay the bill but when we asked that we wanted to split the bill she mumbled that we are trying to cut her tip money or something like that (???) !! And despite understanding that we want to split the bills she came to us with a printed copy of the whole bill and when we said we want to split the bill and explained why we want to do so … she was very upset and kept on saying that’s not restaurant policy and she is only doing it for us !!! Which sounded bizarre because most of the restaurants don’t care how the bills are paid as long as they are being paid! And when I ironically said that I’ll leave an appropriate review on Google maps , she even gave me her name !! 😒
Here’s my sincere request to the restaurant owner/management …. I don’t know if you are aware of this situation or not !! Although it clearly felt as if you were aware what was going on ! If you are that strongly insistent on tip money… please add that to the menu and on a poster at the door that , “we highly recommend that you tip us generously or we will make sad faces” ! And please not that we are not the only people who have had this issue, apparently other people have reviewed the same !! Please look into this! Or the next customers will know for sure that you approve this kind...
Read moreI have to take time out to review this place since I was so incredibly disappointed with the customer service of the manager.
This review is no reflection on the other staff members or the food itself.
We arrived and were seated straight away with no issues as it was 2pm. Our waiter was friendly and took our order no problems. He made sure we were served our bread and made light jokes which was pleasant. When our bread basket arrived unfortunately the first piece of bread had a very long blond hair in it. We alerted the staff straight away and he changed the bread basket, the plates and the sauces with no issues. When our mains arrived I was about to finish my salad last when I noticed a piece of plastic mixed in with the lettuce! We called the waiter over straight away but I had already eaten the majority of my food so didn't need any replacement. The waiter informed the manager but he didn't come over until we had to request him to come. At which point he then proceeded to accuse us of not telling them straight away when issues like this occur. We tried to inform him that we did inform the staff straight away, yeah he wasn't prepared to listen and continue to make accusations as if we were trying to avoid paying. At which point we been realised that this man had not even bothered to apologise for the fact that we've had two incidences occur. Honestly, you could not write it!!! The manager was absolutely rude and did not want to bother listening to us as customers. Besides the fact that he didn't even consider apologising for the fact that we had to go through that experience, he then started to accuse his staff of not apologising! Although he gave us our meals as it was the least he could do, the fact he was so stubborn and ignorant was disappointing. We definitely will not be going back to this...
Read moreMy family and I had the pleasure of dining at Enfes, an upscale Turkish restaurant with a tropical and welcoming ambiance. Located ten minutes from the heart of the city, Enfes offers an authentic culinary experience that is both delightful and memorable.
Our server, the amiable Nabil, deserves special mention for his exceptional service. He was welcoming and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. His attentiveness and willingness to cater to our every need were truly commendable. However, some of the other servers seemed aloof and disinterested, marring the otherwise impressive service.
We decided to try the mixed platter for two, which came with fluffy rice, a big salad, swordfish, and borek. The portions were generous, and the food was delicious, though a bit on the saltier side. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the refreshing lemon with mint drink, which Nabil kindly served in a jug for our family to share, even though it is typically served by the glass. It was one of the best lemon with mint drinks I’ve ever had.
The bread at Enfes is also worth mentioning. My 2-year-old couldn’t get enough of it, happily gobbling up the bread and dip. To our pleasant surprise, the extra bread and lemon with mint were offered complimentary at the end of our meal. This unexpected gesture added a touch of generosity to the already exceptional dining experience.
While the restaurant does not have children’s cutlery, they do provide high chairs, which was convenient for our little one. Overall, we had a wonderful family dinner at Enfes and will definitely be back. I highly recommend others to visit and, if possible, try to get Nabil as your server for an exceptional...
