1st off this place need done up badly, we are not living in the 90s anymore. For the love of God change the tiling of this place. It's been the same since I was a child.
Secondly by adding a few sofas and chairs does not make a difference. It's such a ugly depressing run down looking place.
So mnay shops have closed not that mnay good shops in it. And the Primark???? Don't get me started does Newry store get the clothes that are don't sell in the Primark in England.
The place needs pulled down in my opinion and needs built from scratch.
The majority of people that work in the place are miserable pessimistic negative people you will ever meet in your life. Still trapped in the mind frame of the troubles. Which is really sad.
I saved every penny I had to get of Newry it's such a dull place to live in. The buttercrane is just an old reminder of how far behind we are.
The buttercrane needs to sort out the chavs that tend to run the place and Employ people that are going to be kind respectful and who actually smile.
By adding food outlets does not change a thing in fact your welcoming more chavs teens into the place to sit there all day woth their mates and deal weed.
Pull the place down and bring some life back to Newry. It's...
Read moreI actually went to buttercrane yesterday and found, for a change that most of the units were occupied. I went to specsavers first and as always was treated as a person and not a number which is why I've been with them for nine years. I then went to £1 land and then my bank, Halifax which after having 19 bank accounts in different countries is by far the best and I know members of the team by name and if we run into each other around town they stop to chat, no other bank that I know of does that. Because they make me feel so welcome and because I am a chef, I take them some treats and flowers. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I did notice that easons have closed which is a pain because they used to sell certain items that you couldn't get anywhere else, just one example is plain postcards, I went into nine different shops as well as £1 land but couldn't find the...
Read moreI really enjoy visiting Buttercrane – it’s a great shopping centre with a wide variety of stores and a friendly atmosphere. It’s always clean and well-maintained, and it’s a convenient place for both shopping and meeting friends.
One thing I feel would really improve the experience for shoppers is the background music. It would be fantastic if Buttercrane could play licensed music throughout the centre. Music helps create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, and having popular or familiar songs would make the shopping experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Buttercrane is a brilliant asset to Newry, and with the addition of licensed music, it could feel even more...
