GAME — Local services in Newry, Mourne and Down District Council

The staff can be very unfriendly and not helpful especially when serving children. The kids were made feel so unwelcome and made lots of excuses when they tried to book a slot ( “fully booked” when they clearly were not, “we were too late” for a full slot eventhough there was 1.20h minutes left of the day). My son’s headphones weren't working and never replaced when asked to swap. Apparently he was “lucky that his gift card worked if it was any more bent he would have not taken”. Then he was sold a gift card that does not work in ROI eventhough he clarified if it did-“and remember we don’t do refunds!”. Finbar clearly has an issue serving minors or perhaps he just doesnt like us. Regardless what he thinks of us, his behaviour made our experience (and the one before this) so disappointing. I work in retail myself and truly hope that other children dont get this kid if dismissive, ignorant treatment as what for them are really their first experiences in customer service. I certainly wont be purchasing anymore gift vouchers (bent or straight..) a great idea for store concept but let down by poor...

My son and I would visit the store regularly and we always receive excellent service. Staff members Dean and Rob are two special mentions as they are always extremely helpful and accommodating to my sons questions and requests for help or advice, they also are very polite and treat him as a valued customer every time we visit, being very patient while he sorts his own money and handles his game card. He also loves the opportunity to pick out a slush and Dean always lets him pick his favourite combinations! They have also been very helpful and informative when we were looking to book a birthday party in store and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend this store...

I only have positive things to say about Game Newry and the staff there especially Dean. The store offers a fantastic selection of products that cater to a variety of needs. The staff was incredibly friendly and approachable, readily available to answer my questions and provide assistance. I have enjoyed attending the mini painting event hosted weekly by Dean and despite being new to the whole thing (ie.painting) was made to feel welcome and included. I would highly recommend Game Newry to others. Thanks for...
