For many years, this fish and chip shop has been the best out of all the fish and chips in Leicestershire and the uk. The quality of the fish is so good and the flavour with the batt is on point. The oil isn’t overwhelming or greasy, the fish isn’t like a plastic substance, and there is never a vile smell of werid outdated fish. It’s crunchy and soft, the fish is beautifully coloured white as it was cooked off the boat and very tender, it literally breaks apart in your mouth. It tastes amazing everytime I buy. The chips itself is a wow factor and has got its name around for having the best chips in Oadby. The staff is very welcoming towards customers. You can see how hard they work no matter the tenprature and busy lines. They work hard to make sure you get what you asked for with a happy smile. For anyone coming by or wanting to try out a new fish and chip place, here is the best place to come for the best of best, with fantastic prices for what your getting,British fish and chips, with a large variety of other foods on...
Read moreThere was a time when this place served really good food at a decent price. That was some time ago. Their prices have rocketed, and the quality is not as good as it was. This is a fish and chip shop. How can they justify charging nearly £16 for a fish and chips via Ubereats? Just look at their prices, they must now be one of the most expensive fish and chip shops in Leicestershire. The quality of their food has also gone down. I use to love their donner kebab. Don't know if they have changed their supplier but their donner kebab tastes like card board. Only good thing I can say is that their battered sausages taste really nice but also have gone up considerably in price. I am really sad to write this review as I have used this shop for over 10 years. Due to their high prices and not so good quality, me and my family will be using somewhere else. The owner is really nice though as we always have a chin wag about Parklands Leisure Centre where we were both...
Read moreOne Word - Nasty, ordered Fish & Chips, Girl who was serving was probably a trainee...Her boss (think he was the owner) who was giving me and my mate looks since we entered the shop whispered in her ear to charge us for the sauces after we had paid and were walking off. Told him she didn't mention this and he should train his staff properly. He then started to stare me out until I gave him my own stare and he continued working... Good job I wasn't in a bad mood, he would have had his greasy overrated food thrown on his face. First and last time he's getting any business from me. If the food was good fair enough, but that was a fail too, Chips were too greasy and brown as the tight git doesn't change the oil, and the Fish was hard in places...Rather drive down to...
